Title: Misleading Pricing and Poor Customer Treatment – Hatfield VW Polo Sedan Deal I am writing to share my very disappointing experience with Hatfield VW regarding a vehicle purchase that left me feeling misled and embarrassed. I was approved to purchase a 2024 Volkswagen Polo Sedan (white) priced at R289,000 with approximately 43,000 km. I was informed that everything was approved and that I could come to the dealership to collect my car. Before going to the dealership, I was sent pictures of the vehicle that was prepared for me, and the car clearly had mag rims fitted. Based on this, I understood that the vehicle shown in the pictures was included in the quoted price. However, when I arrived at the dealership to collect the vehicle, I was suddenly told that I needed to pay an additional R15,000 for the wheels, as they were supposedly not included in the price. This information was never communicated to me before I came to collect the car. To make matters worse, the manager passed me by twice without assisting me, even while acknowledging that I was frustrated. While this was happening, other consultants were making jokes at the expense of the sales guy who was helping me, and even though the salesperson was willing to assist, they kept laughing. I was shocked and kept thinking, “what is going on here?” This made the situation even more embarrassing and disrespectful. This situation left me shocked and embarrassed, as I had already prepared myself financially based on the agreed price. I had to leave the dealership without the vehicle. I still have the pictures that were sent to me showing the car with the mag rims fitted, which formed part of my understanding of the offer. It is concerning that a vehicle can be presented in this way, with additional costs added at the point of collection, combined with poor customer service and unprofessional behavior. The services we get from this new dealership do not match the standards expected; customers deserve transparency and respect. They will be surprised when their sales drop due to experiences like this. I hope Hatfield VW addresses this matter and ensures that future customers are treated fairly, with honesty and proper service.

i bought a Tyquan 2020 model on the 1st of September 2020, i gave me problems from the word go with the mirror paints, the black strip around my car, the boat and the camera. Lat week they fixed the camera nd i was happy with that. Now when i tell them that my strip its coming out they are saying its due to me bumping or in an accident. So i used a sellotape to put on the falling off of the strip around the car and its untidy and makes the car off-bad quality. Can you please assist

It is as if we getting that car for free. How do you say deal approved without discussing the details of the deal. They do not call untill you call them. the lady working with finance houses does not even discuss numbers. It is just a Mess. I will never go there again. 0/10 bad poor service

Good day, On the 15 March 2021 we have written a complaint to VW customer service , the complaint was about the issue that has not been resolved with VW Hatfield. The complaint has been forwarded to VW Hatfield and we were advised that the Manager in charge will be in contact with us. On the 19 March 2021 I did a follow up with VW customer service to check the status of the complaint that has been logged. Again on the 23 March we did a follow up and also asking about the service level agreement, were advised that the Manager was on leave by the consultant at their customer service. I trust that this is not the way that VW does business and that you will mention my concern with the Sales consultant -about the incident. We are open to discussing the matter further and should hope that you will respond with a solution to prevent this incident happening again We look forward to hearing from you Regards Mpumi Tsolekile on behalf of Patrick Tsolekile 082 397 3356

I waited for more than 5 hours for my car to be serviced and I requested for transportation but I waited while other customers were taken to and from their destinations, I'm sorry but I really wouldn't recommend anyone for vw Hatfield service under commercial cars

Whatever you do, do not buy a car from these criminals! There are many horror stories of car service from branches, but this story relates to new car sales service. We received offer to purchase on a new vehicle and decided to buy the car. We travelled a few times to this branch from Jhb to finalize details with sales person (Busi). They arranged for vehicle pickup and payment on Christmas Eve and told us to arrive at 12pm to finalize payment with finance. We arrived there only to be told we need to wait. Whilst waiting, we inspected car and noted multiple issues (the left front speaker was blown, the speaker in back doors was falling out and middle compartment plastic was falling off). For a R650k car brand new, you don’t expect these issues. After waiting for 3 hours, we finally see the finance lady to make payment. Then the sales person (Busi) comes in and says they made a mistake on pricing and need to add another R20 000 to the price because they made a mistake. They had even applied for the additional finance without our consent. Despite our complaints about how this can be done to us, they said they can’t do anything about it. They clearly do this often to customers, add additional prices at the last moment. After raising it with all the managers, we were told by the sales manager (Willie Scheepers) that “it is what it is” and they sold the car to someone else. This is the service u can expect from criminals at VW Hatfield Pretoria, so if yo want to avoid being ripped off, stay away. There are more than enough other dealerships to deal with that won’t try and rip you off. You have been warned!
