Purchased a 2020 VW Polo GTI through a sales person by the name of Tumi Sibiya in September 2023, upon delivery of the vehicle there was number of issues I spotted on it and raised them with the dealership which they then said they performed an 80 point inspection and I was the one to blame for those issues. I then raised the matter with VW South Africa and they managed to have the dealer to account for the issues.
Upon second delivery for the vehicle, I then made an appointment for service at VW Kimberley and unfortunately they found leakage in the vehicle's Gearbox which may have resulted from an accident. I immediately raised the matter VW South Africa and fortunately enough they managed to have the dealership accountable again.
About a month or two, I made an appointment for a wheel alignment and the technicians advised that I should have the axle inspected as the alignment results show negative results. I then booked in the vehicle at VW kimberley in January 2024 and they confirmed that the axle has bend which may have resulted from an accident. I raised the matter with Renier Coetzee (Mastercar Sales Manager) and he rep**** by saying that they will not be held accountable for the bend axle and any future issues that I will experience.
I then went back to VW South Africa and unfortunately they could not help. I further escalated the matter to Ombudsman and I am currently waiting for the verdict.
22 June 2024, the axle gave in and right now paying for a vehicle that's parked in a garage.
