Last year August I bought a golf 6 from mastercars Claremont. The day we took ownership of the car and drove out the show room the car broke down just outside the show room. They said there was no petrol in the car. 2 days later we had to have the car towed back to VW. It was either the fuel pump or oil filter I cannot remember. I kept asking for the service book and just got the run around. Eventually a piece of paper was given to me with the service history and maintance which was done on the car over the last 10 years. This car had had numerous machanical Breakdowns. This was not told to me when I purchased the car. There were scratches on the car when we bought it and had to go back for touch ups. As there usual spray painter had covid at the time. The car came back with different with different shades. It took me until December to finally get this sorted after months of phoning. After this in February it was back at VW for oil lost. I was told this was due to soft ware that had been installed on the car. Mean while no software had been installed. 1 month later the car broke down again. This time it was the turbo. At the time of purchase I was sold a vaps policy. I put in A claim in the beginning if April and am still waiting for it to be approved. Since the first time I took ownership of the car I have asked VW to take the piece of sh one t back. It's a problem car and was bought on Hp. I am know sitting with a car which cost alot of money and still have over 5 years to pay on it. In one of my conversations which I had with Lindsay the manager of mastercars he told me he does not know what the cars was doing in there show room to begin with as it was very old. All I want is for them to take the car back so that I can buy my son a descent car. I went to master cars as I thought they were a reputable dealership but I have had nothing but problems since buying the car. What's has happened to good business practice? Or even honesty?
