Landlords never use Watchprop as an agent as they impose ridiculous requirements for a tenant to comply with if they want to rent through Watchprop! This tantamount to ******ion. As you might be aware renting in Cape Town CBD is expensive and properties are rare, so when corporates exploit tenants something has to be done about it. (A chat on Cape Talk would help)

I viewed a flat in Cape Town Vredehoek on behalf of my daughter and her friend as they work during working hours? Amazing that all properties for rent one has to view it during working hours thereby excluding working individuals unless they take leave?

What is astounding is that it appears that ALL the costs are put on to the tenant!

What on earth is the "The non-refundable Application Processing Fee of R690.00"?There where at least 20 individuals viewing on the day! ******ion!!! Agents don't need to rent the apartment out, all they need are many applications?

R1000 cleaning fee and R1550 lease fee?

Evidently Watchprop never ever responds to tennant re broken or faulty issues.
