AVOID NIGHTMARES DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WATERPUMP SERVICES - HERCULES - PTA If I can spare one person this drama – then it was worth it to share. Our borehole pump seized working on Monday morning – phoned them and they send someone out the same afternoon, great! The guy (Martin?) informed us that the problem is not the control box, but the pump; he will be back the next morning to extract the pump. On Tuesday morning, my husband dug open the trench to remove the pump, at 11H00 – still no show from Martin? We phoned the office – no one knows where he is, they are NOT aware of our situation, but they “will find out” – at 12H00, no news, no feedback, we call again, get the same response from a different person – needless to say, we are still awaiting that feedback. Half an hour later, Martin arrives, takes out the pump and leaves (Tuesday afternoon). No calls, no feedback e.g. the pump is not repairable, can we install a new one/ do you want the same one/ a stronger pump- NOTHING. At around 16H00 we received a quote for R5k. which my husband pays immediately – still we don’t know if this is for repairs or a new one… Tuesday evening we have to get water from the neighbours – and the neighbour phones the owner of Waterpump services as he knows him – informs him of this situation – well… that did not change anything. Wednesday morning (day3 without water on a smallholding with animals etc) no show – again.. same game, we phone at eleven – they pretend not to know anything; “but will find out” – then we phone at 13H00, just to be informed… ‘Ahh, they don’t think they will be able to make it today to help us….” We inform them that we have been without water for 3 days – “they will see what they can do…” eventually my husband goes to their shop, and inform them that we want our cables (which Martin took with) and his money back. Then we are told that we have to wait – he is on his way to us via JHB!!! JHB is in totally the opposite direction of us with about 100km? My husband tried calling the owner (Wayne?) – surprisingly no answer – sends a WA message – no response – NO surprise there. Later on Wednesday we get the 1st call back for the entire week… they are sending someone else, they will be at our place at 17H00 – no show… they arrived at 20 to six the evening, with a new pump, but guess what…they DO NOT HAVE OUR CABLE. We agree with the 2 guys to come back in the morning, at 8H00 – and they agreed, just to receive a call from Brandon this Thursday (day 4- today ) morning to inform us that if they come to us now their other work will fall behind, but they will try to be here at 11H00 – I don’t see that happening, and I’m not sure how this will end, but it’s not going to be with a happy customer, that I can assure you.
