Architecture is alive
I have had such a great experience with Wayne Michael Design. Really enjoy working with WMD. I studied architecture in the late 2000's and appreciate innovative design and planning. I have seen some of their most iconic work throughout Cape Town and really enjoy their aesthetics. Great job guys, keep it going.

Architecture is alive
I have had such a great experience with Wayne Michael Design. Really enjoy working with WMD. I studied architecture in the late 2000's and appreciate innovative design and planning. My house belongs on a magazine cover now
Enthusiastic and innovative, Such a great experience. We were told by friends to use Wayne since they renovated their entire place. We are so so pleased with the results. My house belongs on the cover of a magazine thanks to them.

Do Not trust this person/company Architect Wayne Michael design/Architect/Wayne Michael Du Plessis. Since we've paid the deposit/fees He left us with 0 communications for 3 months.

Steer clear of this architect and builder!
We initially used Wayne as an architect to do the design and drawings for a renovation on our house. Initially we were very impressed with him as he comes across as knowledgeable, professional and \talks the talk". We were very clear about our budget. He provided us with 2 designs"

Conned out of R105 000
WMD Design was used to draw up plans for building an extension to our house. The plans were not approved as a section of the extension was crossing the building line. It needed approval from neighbors. WMD was to obtain the approval from the neighbors. According to WMD construction could start on the original rejected plans. WMD would obtain the approval and re-submit plans again before construction completes. WMD Design to do project management and construction. WMD's quote had the NHBRC logo on it, but subcontracted to D2 Projects (not registered at NHBRC). After paying R465 000 we learned the owner (Wayne Du Plessis) allegedly embezzled R105 000 due to financial problems. Construction was delayed for 5 weeks. Construction continued, but money was paid directly to the contractor. This would allow WMD to recover the money. We spent R40k over budget and construction stopped. We are left with an unsafe and unfinished home, unapproved plans and no approval from the neighbors. After 3 extensions, threats to file legal and criminal charges, going to the newspapers, etc. nothing happened. We have no money to complete. WMD / D2 Projects are not registered with NHBRC. This is cruel!
