I have to laugh at the... so to say good reviews of the weber grills. Bought a 57 one touch weber kettle braai from LeeRoy Merlin about 2 months ago. No bad on LeeRoy Merlin but what atrocious service from Weber SA themselves. Sent emails to their warranty department and let me tell you what A Joke, Tommy ****son and Maryke Pienaar have totally forgotten about me...... I noticed a chip/crack on the porcelain coating after the second weekend of using it. So I thought it's best to send them my claim and concerns that it will deteriorate over time and not wanting to have a problem later on, as it does have a 10yr warranty apparently. After 2 months this is where I stand.......... Nothing /Nada. It's funny when you get on their case then all of a sudden you receive a mail stating that I was supposed to send a full picture if the Lid. In all this frustration I noticed that the bottom vents don't close properly aswell as the bottom Charcoal grid has broken welds on it. I have been a happy Weber customer for over 16 years with no previous hick ups but Boy let me tell you that this is the worst service I have come across. It must be the age group of nowadays.
The amount of money spent on a Braai like this is sickening and should of rather bought myself a different manufactured kettle unit elsewhere.
Absolutely pathetic.
