I have booked a holiday through where to stay at 28 Ocean Breeze for 10 days. 16-26 December 2022 in winkelspruit. It was the worst holiday in my life. On arrival to the unit, the first stop is the toilet. There was no toilet paper provided & no towels? I've never seen any holiday accommodation do that. It was so stuffy & hot inside. No air-conditioning & mind you, it was 37'C, so we decided to go sit on the balcony where the ocean view was ... worst mistake, the sewerage was running right next to the flat, and the smells were unbearably. We were so disappointed in the dream holiday that was sold on the website... it was more like a holiday from hell. So that first night we couldn't sleep at all, it was too hot. My husband was sweating so much, and the mosquitoes were feasting on us. My husband was so angry and asked me to msg the owner . I told her about all the unbearably heat in her flat and if the cleaners can please come change the bedding the next morning because it's wet with sweating the whole night. Her response was that it's unfortunate, but the bedding is only going to be changed when we leave! Oh my God, I couldn't believe her response. We paid for cleaning services, and then she said the cleaners only mops and cleans the bathroom, not the kitchen. No dishes, we must do it ? No dishcloths or soap to do the dishes are provided. At this point, i just wanted to leave. After paying 13k, this is what we get. I then asked her to please try finding someone else because we can't stay in the unbearably conditions. We are very unhappy with her flat. She said she would try and if she found a new booking she would refund us. So we stayed the weekend then Monday ask if she has any good news for us ... ! She said there was an inquiry for the 20th - 26th, but she is still waiting for them to come back. We were so happy but then the people didn't come back. We then stayed against our will at this terrible place for the rest of the week. On Wednesday, she texted me saying that she got a booking for the weekend of Christmas, so she will refund us for the remaining 3 days. Her text = "Hi Tracey, my guests are leaving on Fri. My nephew who lives in Toti has friends staying with him, and apparently, his flat is totally overcrowded, so he's trying to talk them into moving into my place on Fri. So you can go ahead and book them. Francoise (2 adults 2 small children) arriving 23rd departing 26th Dec. Thanks." I'll do your refund once the cleaner has been in to check that all in order on Friday." We called our family saying we will be back for Christmas and that we can't wait to leave this holiday from hell. Friday, we booked out at 7:30. Text her, "Good morning, we just checked out. Thanks for everything. God bless" then hell broke loos !! I've never ever heard of the owner of holiday rentals talking to their guests like this. " Please pick a personality and stick to her instead of bringing her out only when you think doing so will benefit you. Unfortunately for you, l wasn't born yesterday, so you're wasting her on me now. You obviously have no consideration for anyone else's feelings or 'circumstances', if you had, there might have been an entirely different outcome to this whole holiday/guest from hell. Ever since your middle of the night whatsapp on your first night, my stomach has been in knots and l've spent every spare moment sunce then trying to make YOUR life easier by getting someone to take your place so I'd be ABLE to afford to refund your money however that wasn't to be. I only hope you packed up all your negative energy and took it with you so my next (repeat) guests don't pay the price for your disrespectful, demanding, inconsiderate attitude. You may or may not know that my flat is on the market because l can no longer afford the exorbitant levies and up until now all l felt was sadness at the thought of having to say goodbye to it. However, after this past week, all l feel is relief at not ever having to share it with someone like you again. So thank you for that. You will get your refund as stipulated in my quote. In the meantime, l suggest you read up on the early departure policy." Then I responded, saying," Carol, I don't want to fight about my full refund. It's Christmas, and I told you from day 1 that we are not happy with the conditions we were staying in. But we still stayed again our will and waited on you finding a replacement. which you told me you have. We didn't just leave. You told us that you have a new booking and will refund us for the 3 days. I have all the communication between the two of us. So please just stop this before it gets ugly. She replied, " Ah, look, who's back!! You will receive your R500 refundable deposit and R180 for the 3 days complex levy. The end. NEVER BOOK NO 28 OCEAN BREEZE IN WINKELSPRUIT EVER WORST OWNER AND FLAT TO RENT IN THE HOLE WORLD!
