This business sells timeshare – one way or another – with or without ethical values. After my husband passed away in 2021 only 40 days after we got married, a broker representing Winfields GreatGetAways, took advantage of my situation and sold me several timeshare weeks and weekends with the express understanding that I can rent them out and increase my income. (BS) Unfortunately, this did not realise, partly because it was not the truth but only sales talk and partly because I did not get what I offered to purchase. And the esteemed director, who poses as an admin lady, signed contracts on my behalf, which she knew was not in accordance with my offer to purchase. BUT you pay capital and levies upfront – and you only see the discrepancies AFTER the so-called admin lady signed them. In the absence of answers from Winfields GreatGetAways, I cancelled all the deals in 2022 and requested a full refund because of the discrepancies, but also because although I asked several times, I did not know which resort belonged to which timeshare and how to contact any of them or even how to check the dates against the resort allocated weeks. To date I still have not received confirmation of transfer of the timeshare, however I am being hunted for payment of levies. Winfields GreatGetAways keep the levies until the buyer is harassed by the resort and only then do they pay it over. After all my correspondence were ignored by the GreatGetAways director, Ms Belinda Winfields, I now find myself in a situation where I actually have to PAY TO GET RID OF THE TIMESHARE and where I have to bite my tongue and take the onslaught of words from lawyers who are not privy to the facts of what transpired during and after the sale(s) were made. NOW I REALLY JUST WANT A GREAT GET AWAY FROM TIMESHARE WITHOUT LOSING MORE MONEY! So Ms Belinda Winfields, if the above is untrue, then please pay back my money i.e. R241 741.
