I work online for a Chinese business. They pay in USD. I thought Wise would be a better option in terms of fees. So far, I had to deposit R300 to create the account - after which they said I need proof of address to enable receiving money. That's understandable. But they took my money first, now, if I send it back to myself, I only get R171, not cool. We also cannot get Wise cards in SA. So, I get paid by my boss. I cannot withdraw it to my SA account - this is ONLY FOR US, UK & CANADA!!! I can send it to myself as a payment - but at an unreasonable cost.
I have tried to contact support - but with very little luck or understanding. Not everything is disclosed with their service - sign up with caution.
