Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Late Offer Letter and Missed Registration Deadline Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the admission process for my 2026 application. On 18 February 2026, I received an official offer letter from the University of the Wi****ersrand confirming my acceptance to study in 2026. However, when I attempted to complete my online registration on the same day, I discovered that registration had already closed on 17 February 2026—one day before I received the offer. This situation has placed me in a deeply unfair and distressing position. The delay in issuing my offer letter directly prevented me from registering on time. I acted immediately upon receiving the offer, yet I am now being informed that I must defer my studies to 2027, through no fault of my own. I respectfully request that the University urgently review this matter and provide a fair resolution. I am willing and fully prepared to begin my studies in 2026, and I believe it is reasonable to expect that an offer should allow adequate time for registration. I kindly request:
Reinstatement of my registration opportunity for the 2026 academic year, OR A clear explanation of how this procedural oversight occurred and how the University plans to remedy it.
I look forward to your prompt response, as this issue has significant implications for my academic and personal planning. Yours sincerely, Ntombi April
