I had to pay for my test, spectacles AND contact lenses before anything was ordered. Got my spectacles in a fair time period. The contact lenses I had to wait 9-10 weeks for. I asked my parents to just collect them for me as I am at work Mondays to Saturdays. When they got their the lady, Lindie, told them that it was not paid for and she will not give it to them. I still owed them over R800. She did not even check on the system or in a file to confirm.
My husband phoned her to find out what was happening and she bluntly told him that we only paid for the spectacles. And that we should send the proof of payment again. After some back and forth she finally phoned me just to tell me that the amount did not include the contact lenses. I had to tell her to go look again on the invoice it WAS included in the amount and that it was just R400 not R800. She then said that she was not the one who did the quote and hence did not know. She did not apologise for the fault on her side nor for our inconvenience. My husband insisted that they now deliver it to us as petrol is expensive and we can't go up and down for something that was their mistake. She simply stated that she is very sorry she will NOT do that and that getting it was my problem. I then told her to then refund me which she also refused.
I want to let Wize Eyes know that it is unacceptable to make a customer wait for 9 weeks and the accuse them of not paying, without making certain AND then go and make it their problem.
