Terrible, Terrible and Terrible. They are useless. Sorry but theres no other word. We have been calling wollies fir the last 3 weeks asking if they could pick up a dog walking around our area. Shes hungry and thirsty and everytime we get close or calling shes walking away. They just keep on saying there no driver available at this time. For 3 WEEKS already. So yesterday it was raing and she actually jumbed in my car on her own after i opened the door. She was so afraid. So she slept here for the night. And today after work 16:30 i rushed home to get the dog and rushed to wollies to get them open. We walk in there 17:01 and he keep on telling me they are closed, and i said i have work. And he's reply was we also have work. Please tell me what work wollies? You weren't even able to pick the dog up in 3 weeks time. Worst part all about it is that i was speaking with the Manager 🤦♂️ Terrible. I dont know what to do with the dog now unfortunately we cant keep her because we have to many dogs already.

Definitely recommend Wollies and their other partner teams for sterilization. The incision is beautifully done. The next day my cat is walking around and she is herself. Sterilization done 12 November 2024.

I agree, the shelter needs to be shutdown. There is to many animals on site and there is no way one can look after them all. It’s a disgrace. I saw how a man cleaning the cases and they did not remove the animals and they spray then soaking wet - so love for animals and what management would allow that. Someone needs to take the animals away there.

The short haired lady at reception is really rude. I picked up a dog and could not find his owners so I had no other option than to take him to Wollies. I have two other dogs at home so I was just so scared that they would feel threatened and bite him. I greeted her when I got there, she did not greet back. She just gave me a really rude look. I explained why I was there, she did not say anything, went to call someone and get a form and said, "Fill this in". I then told her I don't know the breed and age because it's not my dog, I picked him up. She then very rudely said, "Yes, fill this in" while pointing where I should write. I am really disappointed. She made me feel guilty for taking the dog there. If I had any other choice, I would have kept him with me until owners were eventually found. There was no need to be rude to me. I was trying to do a good thing and all I got was a rude lady.

We are very happy with quick and efficient service, also the empathy about our dog we lost by sname bite. They went out of their way to accommodate us through very fast inspection and helped us even to receive our new adopted guardian and pet dog within the same day of the meet and greet. Luckily BB is already sterilized and healthy, and also in very very good condition, as they received him 5 months ago already. Wollies made us very happy and this review also serves as a special thanks to them for outstanding service. Thank you very much Wollies and may God bless you!!!!!

What a special place! So many cats and dogs taken care of in an exceptional way. Camps and cat enclosures are spotlessly clean. Animals are well loved and cared for. Kids are encouraged to volunteer during school holidays from 10h00 to 14h00 in playing with the cats and helping.

Went with my brother to pick a puppy. All went well as i found one immediately. The puppy was too young and I had to wait 3 weeks. (I had no problem with that) When we walked out took a picture and the lady (same lady that did my inspection, that Monday after i picked the puppy) confirmed that they would put a tag the puppy with my surname as i didn't have a name picked yet. Three weeks past and they phoned that i could come fetch my puppy. All existed, asked i went on a saterdag did my paperwork, paid ect... BUT here it begins... that wasn't my puppy(not even from the same batch and much older)waiting for me. When i asked where my puppy was everyone looked a little confused. The worker asked me to walk with him to see witch batch i picked from. When i poined out the batch the owner came to talk to us and denied ever having such a puppy. (Luckily i took a picture and had witnesses with me that day) I just walked away crying as my heart was set on this little puppy. She came afterwards and proceeded to shout at me. Told me that i didn't understand the procedures and that the puppy was in a foster home (the worker confirmed that some other lady picked two puppies to take home) Was told to wait three more weeks. The weeks had past and i didn't hear anything. I phone and was told to maybe pick another puppy. After i denied the offer i got a message from an attorney to say that my adoption has been denied and that i should give my banking details so they could pay me back. WOULD NEVER SUPPORT THEM AGAIN! WOULDN'T EVEN RECOMMEND THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. If i had taken the puppy waiting, someone else might have been in my position today.

The owner of this shelter is untruthful : no empathy and the animals there are not cared for under shelter minimal protocols. They use subpar vets, dispense meds to new owners in blank plastic bags just scribbled on instead of prescribed vet pills in vet pouches detailing mg etc. the cattery is a disgrace. Many rescues dying due to distemper, parvo , bacterial infections as there is no quarantine and kennels overcrowded. Many complaints from adoptive parents of their pets dying, being sick, or taking long to recover. This shelter is run by an owner who seems to just focus on the finances but same funds don’t seem to be directed towards creating better living conditions for the vulnerable rescues many of which are put down or dying due to poor care. Many volunteers who have worked there have left as they cannot tolerated the conditions that this manager is putting her rescues through especially the cats. We adopted unbeknownst to us a dying dog who had advanced distemper exacerbated by the allergic reaction to the sulphur based purbac meds given to her. We were accused of abusing and killing the dog until the autopsy results came out clearly demonstrating that Wollies was at fault. This Place under her leadership needs to be closed down with the rescues being sent to better and ethical shelters.
