Ordered and paid for wood more than 3 weeks ago, and got an SMS to confirm delivery for 2 weeks after the order. Wood was not delivered, so I followed up, but never got a response to the email (you can only contact them via email and WhatsApp, no phone number to call).
I followed up again 2 days later (via WhatsApp), got a reply from the owner (Wez) that he will follow up and get back to me with a delivery date. Did not hear anything so I followed up again 2 days later - no reply. Asked for refund the next day, got a reply that the company is not available due to load shedding.
Wez sent me an email on Friday (3 weeks after I placed the order), providing a list lots of excuses, and asking if they can deliver the wood the next week. I asked for refund, was told that they are barely out of the 14 business days delivery terms, that they would try to sort it out, and that if I want a refund, I would have to wait 7 business days for it. We agreed that the wood can be delivered on Monday. Monday has come and go, without hearing anything from the owner, and still no wood.
I am sure the wood will eventually turn up, but I am warning everyone that Wood Monkeys accepts immediate online payments for a service that they cannot provide. Be aware of the 14 business days delivery time, and that there is basically zero communication from the owner, and when he does communicate, he hides behind his terms.
