Just recently found out that this business has been operating under a different name mere weeks after they so called "liquidated" claim to have started in 2020, The nerve that these guys "CTF" have, Be aware.

On the 3rd of June I ordered and paid for the delivery of over R2000 worth of wood. After weeks of excuses, and waiting for the delivery, my requests for a refund were then ignored. I recieved an email from the owner saying he has now voluntarily liquidated the company, but his website seems to still be operatiing and accepting online orders and payments, please beware of this situation.

On the 3rd of June I ordered and paid for the delivery of over R2000 worth of wood. After weeks of excuses, and waiting for the delivery, my requests for a refund were then ignored. I recieved an email from the owner saying he has now voluntarily liquidated the company, but his website seems to still be operatiing and accepting online orders and payments, please beware of this situation.

If you're ordering wood for the braai or fire, do not order from Wesley Logan of Wood Monkeys SA. I paid for the order over a month ago (beginning of June 2022), and despite lots of promises and excuses, he's never delivered. I have been asking for a refund, as its clear he can't or won't fulfill the order, but he has been dodging my request. And now he just ignores messages. Update: 16/07 I received an email from Wesley stating that he's now closing the business. This obviously isn't something that he just decided overnight, and yet up to two weeks ago he was advertising Wood Monkeys on lots of different community Facebook pages, offering massive discounts on his website, all while he had numerous clients waiting for weeks for their deliveries. So it looks like he was just playing for time while trying to get the last injection of cash into the business.

Ordered and paid for wood more than 3 weeks ago, and got an SMS to confirm delivery for 2 weeks after the order. Wood was not delivered, so I followed up, but never got a response to the email (you can only contact them via email and WhatsApp, no phone number to call). I followed up again 2 days later (via WhatsApp), got a reply from the owner (Wez) that he will follow up and get back to me with a delivery date. Did not hear anything so I followed up again 2 days later - no reply. Asked for refund the next day, got a reply that the company is not available due to load shedding. Wez sent me an email on Friday (3 weeks after I placed the order), providing a list lots of excuses, and asking if they can deliver the wood the next week. I asked for refund, was told that they are barely out of the 14 business days delivery terms, that they would try to sort it out, and that if I want a refund, I would have to wait 7 business days for it. We agreed that the wood can be delivered on Monday. Monday has come and go, without hearing anything from the owner, and still no wood. I am sure the wood will eventually turn up, but I am warning everyone that Wood Monkeys accepts immediate online payments for a service that they cannot provide. Be aware of the 14 business days delivery time, and that there is basically zero communication from the owner, and when he does communicate, he hides behind his terms.

Be careful. I paid for my order a month ago and had to make numerous enquiries before I got some of my wood. They called last night at 6:35pm enquiring if they could deliver the rest of my wood. Which we were forced to decline because we were not home. I doubt we will ever get the rest of our wood. Also not to sure about the quality of the wood. Be warned.
