FRAUDELENT DJI RESELLER ALERT As official DJI DISTRIBUTOR in South Africa, our Company would like to highlight our dealings with Elot Shop and Owner Jean van Wyk.
After agreeing to assist Mr van Wyk with releasing an almost R50,000 thermal DJI aircraft before payment to one of his clients, almost 4 months later we are still awaiting payment.
Mr van Wyk assured us payment was done on the day of the sale, but after repeated enquiry, our Company was told that his assistant / wife / girlfriend miss Nadia Strauss had executed payment to the WRONG ACCOUNT and Nedbank would not reverse the payment, nor release contact details of the person payment went to, which is very suspicious.
We requested Mr van Wyk to show us a screenshot of the erroneous payment, which he refused to do claiming you cannot screenshot bank statements, which is again, a lie, as we had then shown Mr Van Wyk it is indeed possible.
Once again, Mr van Wyk denied any wrongdoing and proclaimed his innocence, blaming his spouse for the error.
As we suspected Mr Van Wyk of lying, which he strongly denied, we eventually got a confession from him that he did INDEED LIE and had SPENT the funds meant for our Company.
After threatening Mr Van Wyk with legal action we finally received a payment of R4,500, and then he defaulted on his payment agreement.
Furthermore, as this is an act of pre meditated theft, we have advised DJI head office to immediately disable the stolen aircraft, rendering it useless to the buyer.
Our purpose for positing this is to serve as a cautionary warning to ALL potential ELOT SHOP customers that you are dealing with a fly by night company with no integrity that is happy to defraud the very same suppliers that have supported ELOT and Mr Van Wyk.
