AN UPDATE, WITHOUT PREDJUDICE I originally thought I would leave this situation as it is, (i.e., merely accept that I was defrauded by an online thief and move on) but believe consumers may be misled by the 5-star reviews and believe it my obligation to advise adequate warning of possible loss of funds and / or exceptionally poor service. Elotshop is an on-line company run and owned by Jean van Wyk and he dealt with me directly, via email and few WhatsApp’s. Basic events history: I ordered and paid for a product via elotshop.com website. The product was never supplied even with a commitment via WhatsApp, that it was on route following a complaint. His correspondence was exceptionally poor throughout until I sent a derogatory email regarding his service, where his correspondence was now rather associated with my email contents than the service and products in question. It took this kind of action for him to respond, ***!!!!! He decided that he would return the funds, but I left the ball in his court to either refund or supply the product. It has been 7 months and neither action has been honoured. Theses 5-star reviews are an absolute farce. Prior to Jean van Wyk blocking his Facebook friends list, too many names on the list matched Hello Peters usernames, to be a coincidence. He has even giving himself a review, ***! Further, he has also reviewed ProvectusWeb Solutions, where he is the MD. This an absolute joke and is dishonorable. I must admit, I like his website and it markets great products like Splash Drone, DJI, Flir and others, and consider it to be very user-friendly, BUT in the “about us” section, the reference to Christian values and honour, is shameful. Sadly, his website ( the on-line shop section) makes use of the Trojan-Downloader:JS/Agent which is a large family of programs that secretly download, install and execute harmful files. Just make sure you have a decent anti-virus program installed prior to using his website. His claim to do business in an honorable way, reflecting his Christian mortals (morals, I assume) and values and carrying them through to his business practice, is an outright fib. Using Christianity, to promote integrity and honour, only to consequently rob online clients, is as low as it gets and is downright blasphemous. I do pray for you, Jean van Wyk, that one day, you will see the light, and realize that conducting your life and business in an honourable way, is and can be extremely rewarding. I am not expecting Jean van Wyk/Elotshop to return my money or provide the product in question, as this would have been done, had his intentions have been honourbale. So, consumers, please be aware, and should you insist on supporting Elotshop.com, I suggest very strongly that you insist on receipt of the product prior to transferring funds, or rather shop elsewhere, as there are numerous reputable online options for Swellpro , DJI, Flir , and strongly suggest they are considered first to prevent disappointment. Be safe and love to all…...
