I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Microsoft and Xbox's handling of a *****ulent transaction on my account. Recently, my son's Roblox account was hacked, and a purchase of 22,500 Robux was made without any authorization or verification on my end, not even Verify by VISA on my Investec banking app. A total of R 3 999 was ****** from my account, yet the transaction was processed without triggering any Visa verification through my Investec banking app, which should have alerted me to this suspicious activity.
After reporting this *****ulent transaction to Microsoft and Xbox, my request for a refund was coldly denied, leaving me with the financial burden of this unauthorized charge. Despite providing evidence of the hack and the lack of verification, both companies failed to acknowledge their flawed security process that allowed this transaction to bypass critical authorization steps.
I am appalled by the lack of accountability and support in dealing with this *****. I demand an immediate refund of the ****** 3999 Rand and for Microsoft and Xbox to open a ***** investigation on the account. Their systems must ensure that unauthorized purchases cannot happen so easily, especially on platforms used by children. I expected much better protection and customer service from such well-established companies.
Microsoft and Xbox, do better by your customers and rectify this serious breach in security!
