Do Not Use Xotic Lightings & Decor
I recently hired Exotic Lighting PMB for my daughters 21st. We needed roof draping and lighting. Nico from Exotic Lighting is a very smooth talker promises alot but he is not a man of his word. He took cash upfront but did not do a complete job for my event. He was rude over the phone shouting at me and cutting my calls, my event was highly stressful due to a bad choice of contractor. I would not recommend this company to anyone wanting a stress free function. Your better off finding a reliable company.

Ruined Wedding
Nico ruined my sisters wedding. The night before (Hurdee) food was a disaster. Vegetable breyani was terrible, like boiled food & the Vermicelli was burnt so badly that it could not be served. The grooms side also used Nico for the Hurdee. He failed to provide crockey, cutlery, decor etc. They hosted us for the Thiluk & i came to realise that much was amiss. My mom & husband spoke to Keegan his brother who assured us that all is on track for the wedding & that the they will not disappoint us. MY husband went to the hall on Sunday at 07:30 to check on the decor. Thank Goodness the stage was done, however that was all that was done. The staff assured us that the hall will be ready for 11:00 as the truck was on its way with the balance of the decor and crockery etc. MY husband proceeded to the cooks house to make sure we did not have the previous nites incident. He hadnt even started preparing yet. My mom and I are now in full panic mode. We left the house at 09:30 to go to the hall to find nothing done! I called about 40 family members to assist to salvage wedding & had to delay groom by 45mins.This dang.criminal ruined the wedding!!! Decor & Food disaster & he was paid a week prior.

Ruined Wedding

Turned my dream wedding into a nightmare
We got married in November 2013. Xotic lightings gave me a qoute for my dream wedding. Wednesday before the wedding we were to have our final meeting which didn't materialize cos his grandparents was ill -alarm bells!!! I was assured that all was in order. Friday before the wedding we went to the venue hoping to find the work halfway.....nothing was done other than dirty draping. By midnight on Friday there was still no sign that everything would be ready by morning. My wedding day came.....I had someone on site to oversee things. To my dismay she asked me to delay my entrance as my ceremony setup was an eyesore. I had to eventually leave home as the guests and groom were becoming restless. On arrival I was so disappointed to find a shabbily dressed gazebo - the show went on. Due to the time taken in delays my photoshoot had to be cut short. Not surprisingly,the starters ran out before even half the guests ate. The tables lacked most of the stuff I had paid for. But the lowest point of the day was having to improvise because the food had not arrived. Some hrs later food was dropped off,far from what I had ordered - no drinks - noone to serve dessert, Nico nowhere to be seen!

Terrible Service
My wedding was on the 14th of February. We hired Xotic Lightings to do the decor, catering, food and the night before functions decor at my husband's house. This was the worst thing that we could have ever done. We will forever have bad memories of our wedding day because of the owner Nicolas Moodley. The tent was late for the night befores function, they were putting up the decor while the function was on and mind you, the tent was supposed to be put up a day before. On the wedding day he was hardly there to overlook things, yet he promises to be there throughout the function, knowing very well that this is one of the most important day in anyone's life. He still goes off, gives his workers wrong information from the colour scheme, to the setting of the hall and not leaving out cutlery being dirty, drapping, food and desert not being prepared properly, frozen dhall being served. Caterers being short, hence guests didn't receive food on time, some of them did not receive food at all. This is a day we will never get back and, it's only because of him and his negligence that we have to live with these bad memories. Very disappointing.
