I bought a jeep from these guys at the start of the year, VERY disappointed, vehicle was delivered to cape town, multiple issues with the vehicle and also a serious check warning light. Called, messaged, emailed, nobody ever responded & took absolutely nothing to do with resolving any of these issues ...... i had the serious error message looked at & turns out to be a fault in the gearbox (should never have been sold in this condition). So for 400K i got a jeep with multiple issues (1 potentially serious) and zero after sales contact or help with these issues. My experience was terrible, the vehicle should not have been delivered in this condition and the service book showed that the last service was 2022 & NOT the end of 2024 as they stated. They avoided all my attempts to contact to contact them - sadly it seems they are not to be trusted.

We purchased a second-hand Falcon Inflatable boat with a Honda motor from Danie at York Motors in George in February 2023. Shortly after the purchase, we noticed power issues with the motor. Upon closer inspection, we discovered a crack. During a ride on the lagoon, the motor lost power and stopped working. Further inspection revealed a large hole in the lower gear assembly. A boat expert examined the motor and determined that the hole was pre-existing and had been covered up, creating a weak point that rendered the motor irreparable. We contacted Danie, who agreed to take the boat back and issue a refund. In January 2024, we agreed to a payment plan. However, every payment has been late, and we have yet to receive the full amount. May others be warned.

Hi, I would like to share my recent experience with York Motors to caution potential buyers. I purchased a vehicle from York Motors at the end of July. On my way back to Brackenfell, I noticed troubling noises coming from the vehicle. After informing Marius Boshoff about the issue, he insisted that there was nothing wrong with the car. However, after taking the vehicle in for a professional inspection, we discovered damages amounting to R15,000. Given the dangerous condition of the car, we chose to have the repairs done immediately. When we informed Marius again, his response was dismissive, stating, "There was nothing wrong. Drive back to George, and I'll see what I can do." In a follow-up conversation, Marius displayed an attitude of indifference, saying, "I received my money. It’s your problem now." The vehicle was advertised at R135,000, and Marius claimed he couldn't lower the price due to the vehicle's "excellent condition." This turned out to be far from the truth, and we feel misled by the entire transaction. I hope this helps others make informed decisions when considering York Motors.

I have bought a Land Rover Discovery at York Motors through Danie. He also sold a unlimited service plan to me. The service plan is through Motorserv. I struggled now for very long to get my Land Rover service, because there is no answer at Motorserv. No feedback on mails. I called Danie, because he promised me that this is a great service plan and asked for help in December. This is already end of February. I talked to him and his answer to me is, it is between me and Motorserv. I feel that he sold the plan to me, and must help with answers. I am very dissapointed in York Motors with their after service. Will never again bought a car there.

I have bought a Land Rover Discovery at York Motors through Danie. He also sold a unlimited service plan to me. The service plan is through Motorserv. Stay AWAY from York Auto... Here follows my interactions with them. I purchased a Jeep Wrangler through Danie and York Auto, and on the way back to Herm**** the engine light came on. We called Danie immediatley and he said we can do a diagnostic test in Herm****, they will pay for the diagnostic test and repairs. Needless to say. They haven't refunded me for the diagnostic test. I contacted Danie and sent numerous emails and returned the Jeep to York Auto stateing clearly in the emails and watsapps that I want a refund as per the contract. A week later Danie contacted me and said the Jeep is fixed I can come and fetch the Jeep again. I refused and said I wanted my money back and he refused. He said I can go to the ombudsman with an attitude and sent the Jeep back to Herm****. Two days after the Jeep was returned we noticed a water leak and the radiator had to be replaced! I have emailed, called and sent numerous watsapp messages to no avail. They simply ignore our phone calls and messages. Pathetic Pathetic Pathetic. I would personally not recommend York Auto to absolutely anyone.

After receiving it again, the same error still shows. Took it to a repair shop in Kimberley after months of waiting for the parts from York motors. Experience so many difficulties with the repair. He also sold a service plan through Motorserv. They both gave no after sales support. They don't answer phones. I have send in my form for a quotation for service. And I am still waiting and can't service my car. Very dissapointed in York Motors and Motorserv!!!
