Booked a table for my girlfriends 22nd birthday, Management thought it would be a great Idea to allocate the new waitress to our table. Bless her heart, it's her first day but I really don't know why they would give her the big table with the most guests for the night. We arrived at 6:30, ordered drinks 6:45, ordered food around 7pm, the guests that ordered the buffet special had ordered their own sushi and everyone's sushi came in one plate, so we had to guess who's was who's. when we received our food around 7:30 I asked the manager if it would be possible if we can get our sushi we ordered in separate plates since we are not sitting at the belt, he stated it would take longer then. Seeing 3 chefs at the belt this confused me? The restaurant also didn't have plenty of guests, So I don't know what the hold up could have been. Around 8pm most of our table haven't even received their food. I took everyone's order again and showed our waitress who promptly went to check where the food is. When the first plate of chicken chow mein arrived, I felt relived only for a second because our guests found a fly in their food. This is where I walked over to management and asked them if we could get the bill and leave. The one waitress handled the situation very well and gave me feedback but the manager was oblivious to why we were upset. The place closes at 9pm and it was already after 8:30, I personally only had 2 salmon roses, 2 wasabi parcels and a cream cheese maki roll. The Manager stormed off took the chicken chow mein with the fly off the bill and expected us to continue as if everything was okay. I told him I want to leave because no one was getting their food. We left with the cake, balloons and everything went to McDonald's and sang happy birthday there, McDonald's was kind enough to give us plates and a knife to cut the cake. I have never had a horrible experience like this ever, it was embarrassing. The worst part was that the owner of the business was sitting in the corner having a meeting with 4 other men watching all of this chaos unfold, he did nothing. I was not allowed to interrupt because it was culturally insensitive. The sad part is that I came here so many times in 2021 and Steven the chef at the time took care of everyone, I was happy to pay when he was working there, I had no idea he does not work there anymore, and if I knew that I wouldn't have come. My girlfriend was in tears afterwards it was the worst birthday ever, management had no empathy towards our situation. It would be a massive euphemism to say that I will never return to this place again.
