I had the opportunity to spend the weekend at 403 Seabrook. Margate. From the 9th to 11th October 2020 It was a gift from my cousin to her 82 year old Aunt. It was a very disappointing weekend as the apartment was not cleaned. Very dusty. Hygiene requirements were very unsatisfactory and we also noticed ****roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. The tiles in the kitchen and lounge were damaged causing us to trip and the door handles and knobs were loose and we were locked in the apartment as the entrance door knob jammed. A 1/2 a brick was used for opening and shutting the door in the seafacing room that had 2 single beds. There were no keys on any door so privacy was very compromised and to my disgust the railing on the balcony had bolts missing which made it very loose and unsteady. The shower cold water dripped nonstop. It obviously needed a washer changed. There seemed to be no reception area so we could not obtain a iron and hairdryer despite me asking what was needed for the stay. I was told just bring beach towels. There were no facilities for children although it was suggested on the site as must have for children. The braai stands and area was also very disappointing. It was a run down apartment which was definitely not worth the R1600 a night. And not a single security was on the property.
Most disappointed. I have sent a mail to Zest holidays on the 12th October 2020 and have not received a response as yet.
