I booked a break via Zest Holidays , from 4-8 October 2021, paid all required money including my breakage deposit, which are refundable (or so they said) . I completed my refund form as they requested after our stay and emailed it back to them with my banking details. Today is 30 November 2021, and I am still waiting for my breakage refund. On the forms they claim to pay it back after 10 days. I have send them numerous emails asking for the refund, but I am totally ignored.

I had the opportunity to spend the weekend at 403 Seabrook. Margate. From the 9th to 11th October 2020 It was a gift from my cousin to her 82 year old Aunt. It was a very disappointing weekend as the apartment was not cleaned. Very dusty. Hygiene requirements were very unsatisfactory and we also noticed ****roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. The tiles in the kitchen and lounge were damaged causing us to trip and the door handles and knobs were loose and we were locked in the apartment as the entrance door knob jammed. A 1/2 a brick was used for opening and shutting the door in the seafacing room that had 2 single beds. There were no keys on any door so privacy was very compromised and to my disgust the railing on the balcony had bolts missing which made it very loose and unsteady. The shower cold water dripped nonstop. It obviously needed a washer changed. There seemed to be no reception area so we could not obtain a iron and hairdryer despite me asking what was needed for the stay. I was told just bring beach towels. There were no facilities for children although it was suggested on the site as must have for children. The braai stands and area was also very disappointing. It was a run down apartment which was definitely not worth the R1600 a night. And not a single security was on the property. Most disappointed. I have sent a mail to Zest holidays on the 12th October 2020 and have not received a response as yet.

I booked a holiday in December 2014 as part of my guest's visit to SA and received a call from a lady at Zest asking for a deposit payment. I explained that i was reluctant to make a deposit payment because the holiday was dependent on my guest getting a visa to visit me in SA in December 2014.
She insisted that if i did not pay she could not reserve the holiday even though i said repeatedly that if my guest did not get a visa then there was no holiday. She told me that if he did not get a visa then they could cancel the holiday. Unfortunately my guest did not get a visa in December and therefore could not visit us in SA.
Despite repeatedly explaining this to Zest holidays, my money was not refunded.
