Ons het vir Paul Botha van Zoo Sounds vir ons troue 31 Maart 2018 as DJ bespreek nadat ons sy goeie werk by 'n vriendin se troue gesien het. Paul het nie opgedaag vir ons afspraak 'n maand voor die troue nie en ook nie my oproepe beantwoord nie.Ek het toe alreeds die volle bedrag aan hom betaal. Ons het uitgevind hy was wel in die tronk in daai tyd vir bedrog. Na baie lee beloftes,is ons geld nog nie aan ons terugbetaal nie. Ek sal geen bruidspaar aanbeveel om hom as DJ te gebruik nie,hy is baie onbetroubaar!

<p>Paul Botha had asked me to stand in for him for a few functions due to double bookings, so when he asked me to do a wedding for him on 1 July 2017 I didn't hesitate, and due to my trusting nature I didn't ask for payment upfront which I now regret. </p> <p>It is now almost a month later and I still have not recieved payment. Despite numerous phone calls and emails and empty promises that he will settle the invoice. </p> <p> </p> <p>Paul seems like an amazing person when you meet him. However I don't understand how someone can do business like this. </p> <p> </p> <p>If Paul contacts you please ask for payment upfront. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

<p>Paul Botha from Zoo sound hired equipment from us on the 28th Oct 2016. He said he would eft the balance of the invoice to us by the end of business on the 28th Oct 16. When the gear was returned to our offices on the 31st Oct 2016, Paul said he forgot to do the payment and will have it done by the 1st Nov 2017. Paul would always have some story or promise payment by a certain date and yet still no payment received. After endless phone calls, emails, smses from our side to get payment from him, it still has not been paid - todays date is the 11 July 2017. Lots of hot air and false promises from this person!!</p>

<p>I booked and paid in full for my function in 2018. We decided to make the function smaller so I cancelled the function with him and requested that I be refunded. It has almost been 2 months and no refund. I have contacted him various times, he even agreed to pay me back over 2 payments. The first date had come and gone, still no refund and now not even a response. I have given him over to my laywer. This is bad service. I was trying to help him and was understanding but people don't have any backbone anymore or even common decency.</p>

<p>I booked and payed the service in advance for my wedding day. I just booked for a fog machine for my first dance. Paul recieved the payment but no-one showed up on the day. I had to contact HIM the next day to find out what happened. He didn't even bother to let me know. </p> <p> </p> <p>He promised a refund and I am still waiting to get my money back, after many many requests and many many replies promising payment. It has been 5 months now and still no refund has occurred.</p> <p>This is an embarrassment for any business and very bad ethics for a wedding day!!!</p>

<p>So I read some good reviews on the Facebook page for Zoosound. Trouble is, noone else's good reviews effect your own wedding day. On the day of our first meeting with Paul, he did not show up, although the meeting was scheduled weeks in advance. Calls went unaswered. After an hour he called and said he could not believe that he got the dates wrong. He rescheduled for the next day, which he promptly cancelled the next day. This made me nervous, but I just thought of the good reviews. 2pm on the day before the wedding he called me to say he has a problem and won't make it. Was I surprised, probably not. He just stayed quiet on the line as if I'd let him off the hook, then eventually he said he will be sending a replacement. He promised to follow up after the wedding and explain what happened...we're still waiting 2 months later. The replacement, Henk, is a good DJ, but he was so sick he could not say a word and should probably have been in bed. Our playlist was also sadly neglected entirely. The last place you want a surprise is the day before your wedding...and it seems that if Paul is going to surprise you, that's the time he picks. And I would not have written this review if he did as promised and followed up. </p>

Paul cancelled the day before our wedding in March 2015. I only knew of his cancellation because I phoned him to confirm. This was devastating as I had told him in our meeting months before, that the music was a vitally important element to myslef and my husband for our wedding day. He sent replacements, but these guys didnt play much off the playlist I had compiled for months beforehand. He obviosuly didn't brief the stand ins at all about what we wanted. There was never ever any follow up or apology. Oh and we had paid him in full up front to get his early bird discount. Shocking service (or lack thereof)! BEWARE: DO NOT USE ZOO SOUND!
