The waitron Mpho, paid us no mind and neglected even removing plates from our table. The only focus was being away from our table for minutes on End. Thanks to Thube for coming to the rescue

I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a dining establishment. From the moment we walked in, the staff’s attitude was dismissive and unfriendly. When I realized I couldn’t find my bag, I asked one of the waiters if they’d seen it. Instead of offering any help or empathy, they responded with hostility, making me feel like a nuisance. I even asked to speak with the manager, hoping they’d be more understanding, but they were just as rude and dismissive. Throughout the entire evening, my party and I felt unwelcome and, frankly, uncomfortable due to the staff’s consistent unkindness. A restaurant is supposed to provide a pleasant experience, and we got the exact opposite. I’ve been to countless places, and I’ve never felt so disrespected. Not to mention I’m a regular been going there for years and the customer experience has declined drastically. This place needs a serious overhaul in customer service and attitude if they want returning customers.

The Manager, THAPELO was very rude to us when we accidentally broke a glass. He acted like we did it on purpose and even instructed the barmen not to serve us anymore. I don't see myself going thee anytime soon as long as THAPELO is there!

My wife and I went to dinner at 14 On Chartwell this past weekend and we were distressed to see how badly the African manager treated his staff. He was belittling and discrimated against his staff, using foul language that has no place in an establishment of this caliber or in fact in our forward thinking society. I sincerely hope this issue is dealt with swiftly because I most definitely will not be frequenting any establishment that allows their managers to mistreat their staff in this manner.

We went today for a ‘QUICK” Lunch after a run on the promenade. Place was deserted outside and fairly empty inside, so we thought service would be quick, especially ordering 1x chicken and 1x beef burger. After waiting for approximately 45min after placing our order, I tried to get our waiters attention (with not much success). The manager must have noticed my attempt and ask if everything is all right and I responded with a firm NO, as I don’t believe that 2x burgers would take that long. He did say that he will investigate…my GF did mention to me that they most probably forgot about our food and it would be sitting in the kitchen, cold, waiting to be served! SHE WAS SPOT ON!!! The manager came out within a few seconds later with our food, which indeed was cold. I mentioned this to the manager and he took our food back to the kitchen with a simple “sorry”. Another 10min later, we got our burgers (warmed up or newly made, I wouldn’t know) and that was it. Service was shocking and food was below average. I certainly have been far too disappointed to ever go back or recommend the place to my friends. First time there was also our last time.
