Be very careful before appointing an event planner.

My son and future daughter in law live in the UK. They appointed Cheri van Staden as an event planner for their upcoming wedding to take place at a wine farm in Cape Town next year. She was paid 50% of her fee upfront. She provided inaccurate and insufficient cost quotes and information. The differences being extremely material in value and very important data. To cap it all, my daughter in law and her mother specifically travelled to Cape Town recently to visit the wine farm in order to finalise arrangements. Cheri had the audacity not to meet them, despite arranging this meeting prior to them travelling. Instead she sent an inexperienced assistant who knew nothing.
