I ordered an XL bra on-line for over R600.00. On delivery only to find the bag was marked XL but the bra itself was a SMAL size. Numerous email communications between Thandi and I, she acknowledged the mistake and said she would replace the bra on condition that I pay, once again, for shipping of R172.00. I have advised her that she clearly needs the bra more than I and to keep it.
My son and future daughter in law live in the UK. They appointed Cheri van Staden as an event planner for their upcoming wedding to take place at a wine farm in Cape Town next year. She was paid 50% of her fee upfront. She provided inaccurate and insufficient cost quotes and information. The differences being extremely material in value and very important data. To cap it all, my daughter in law and her mother specifically travelled to Cape Town recently to visit the wine farm in order to finalise arrangements. Cheri had the audacity not to meet them, despite arranging this meeting prior to them travelling. Instead she sent an inexperienced assistant who knew nothing. For your good, DONT utilise the services of Cheri van Staden/2icevents.
About a year ago I had the misfortune of contacting Gosolr to install a solar system They sent a representative to inspect our home and advise us what solar system they would recommend. We are not technically minded so we re**** on their expertise. Since inception we have endured problem after problem. GoSolr's method of resolving problems is to call the help line and spend hours on the phone trying to resolve these issues remotely. Naturally this does not always work. Fortunately we have not experienced load shedding for a while.Last Friday from noon to the next morning our house was in total darkness, no electricity at all. As usual I spoke to the help line and was faithfully promised that they would send a technician. No such luck. Last night we again experienced a total electricity outage. No lights, no security etc. Twice in 5 days. This is totally unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed, frustrated and annoyed with Gosolr. They should change their name to Nosolr.
I would like to share and warn prospective Takealot customers. I ordered a Samsung 40'' N5300 full HD Smart Led TV on line from Takealot. The advert stated that the TV was in stock. I immediately paid for the TV and a few days later they delivered the TV. I called my TV technician to install the TV. He advised me that the product delivered was not a smart TV. Clearly, Takealot deliberately and deceitfully delivered an inferior TV set to me as they did not have stock of the smart TV. After a few attempts, I finally spoke to someone at the call centre who advised that mistakes happen and all they could do is refund me the money. Please be aware of the Takealot sharks.
I have been a Thrifty car rental customer for years. The last two rentals have been an absolute disaster. Once the paperwork is complete, you leave the office. No guidance to the car, walk around searching for the car and nobody to meet you at the car. The paperwork handed to you does not identify any scratches, dents and chips in the windscreen. Thrifty offer disgusting and despicable service. I will never use Thrifty again. Please be aware prior to using Thrifty
PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do not ever use Car Flex to rent a car. I live in JHB and required to rent a vehicle for 9 days over Easter. I went onto a website looking for best rentals in CT. Innocently and inadvertently I went onto a site which showed the best prices of car rental companies in CT. I chose First Car Rental as they were the cheapest on the list. I booked and had to provide a credit card. To my astonishment , dismay and without any knowledge, I later discovered that on a car rental of R5 200, CAR FLEX debited my credit card and charged an amount of R2 000, for what, I am still shocked. I had not realised that I had booked through a 3rd party in a devious and exhorbitant manner. Be warned, never get caught in the trap of CAR FLEX.
During the last few months of 2019, we experienced no telephone or telefax service from Telkom. After numerous calls to the call centre, we were advised that due to cable theft in the area Telkom were discontinuing cable related services. After months of frustration,, in February 2020, we spoke to a senior official at Telkom advising of cancellation of services. We followed this up with an email to this senior at Telkom recording the cancellation of all services in writing. Thereafter we had no communication from Telkom. No statements, nothing. In January 2021 we started receiving calls from a debt collection agency called DebtIn. Aggressive, hostile and threatening demands for an amount o/s of R5000. Each call a different aggressive individual. Despite sending proof of termination of service and finally receiving a copy of the statement which reflected charges for lines only and no calls, to date Debtin are still harassing us for the money which clearly we do not owe. Telkom are well known for this from the numerous complaints on social media. DO NOT USE TELKOM. EASY TO SIGN A CONTRACT BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT OF A CONTRACT. AS FOR DEBTIN-DISGUSTING
We have recently purchased a Defy double door stove which cost over R12 000.00. Despite reading the manual, we are still having problems in understanding the functionality of the stove. After many attempts, we finally got hold of Defy to enquire whether a representative of Defy would come to our home in Sandton to explain all the workings of the stove. Defy flatly refused to this request. We have other brand appliances in our kitchen all of whom gladly came to our home and explained the workings to us. We will NEVER buy a defy product again.
