Dishonest Service

We used A24/7 a few weeks ago for a CoC as a requirement before selling my place.

When they arrived they a did a very brief inspection and informed me they cant issue a certificate because of multiple (2-3 wires) on a few breakers in the DB. Their quote to fix this apparent flaw was just ridiculous and because of this I declined.

I paid the call out and inspection fee (R1075). The reason provided did not make sense to me because none of the wiring changed since I bought the place and I received a CoC on purchase of the place.

I did my own research and found that according to SANS10142-1 (Low Voltage Installations) the terminal breaker can have up to 3 wires if the breaker is sized correctly. I passed on the electrical specification to A24/7 and asked to either issue the CoC or give my money back. They ignored my request and multiple attempts to get a hold of them. We finally reported them to the electrical ombudsman and only after this received our money back.

I did receive the CoC from another company, everything was in order Avoid A24/7, they are dishonest and waste your time and money.
