I have been trying to move my pension fund from Sanlam to Allan Gray but am struggling to get someone on the Sanlam side to assist. My case has been assigned to Ashely Joseph at Sanlam, but my request for information and paperwork simply gets ignored by Ashley. This is terrible service and I have gone as far as opening a case at the Pension Funds Adjudicator for some assistance in the matter.
We used A24/7 a few weeks ago for a CoC as a requirement before selling my place. When they arrived they a did a very brief inspection and informed me they cant issue a certificate because of multiple (2-3 wires) on a few breakers in the DB. Their quote to fix this apparent flaw was just ridiculous and because of this I declined. I paid the call out and inspection fee (R1075). The reason provided did not make sense to me because none of the wiring changed since I bought the place and I received a CoC on purchase of the place. I did my own research and found that according to SANS10142-1 (Low Voltage Installations) the terminal breaker can have up to 3 wires if the breaker is sized correctly. I passed on the electrical specification to A24/7 and asked to either issue the CoC or give my money back. They ignored my request and multiple attempts to get a hold of them. We finally reported them to the electrical ombudsman and only after this received our money back. I did receive the CoC from another company, everything was in order Avoid A24/7, they are dishonest and waste your time and money.
We used MCL to move about 3 weeks ago. Maison was very quick to provide a quote and help, but after the deposit was paid the service level deteriorated drastically. I made it clear when booking that the estate we are moving to has a time limit/ cutoff by which all delivery vehicles need to be out of the estate. Despite this clarification the MCL team arrived 2 hours late at my place. Maison kept on pushing out the arrival time and after my 3de or 4th call he started to ignore my calls and messages. Maison quoted on 4 people, but only 3 arrived and it became very clear very quickly that me and my father need to help to make the move happen within the required cutoff time. On arrival at the new address, Maison was very quick to reach out to me for the remainder of the payment even though he was more than happy to ignore my calls when I needed clarification or assistance. After explaining how we needed to rush and had to help to make sure the move would happen on time, Maison could not care less, he was only concerned about the last outstanding payment.
