I signed up with ACI in 2011 in my first year of work, an impressionable youngster blinded by the excitement of his first paycheck. The deal sounded great: pay for 45 units, but get 60, and (this is the key point that convinced me to buy in, seeing as I am a very risk-averse person), if I ever changed my mind and decided I no longer wanted this, I had a guaranteed buyback promise from ACI, at full value.
Then we found out we were emigrating in 2016, and I tried to invoke that lovely buyback promise, only to be told sorry, that's not a thing, the best you can hope to receive if you go this route is to get R14000 back (out of R45000, so less than a third of the value). If I had known this up front, I NEVER would have wasted my time and money with this scheme. Using lies and trickery to sign people up for your product is disgusting, and even associating with salespeople who use such tricks doesn't say much about the integrity of your organisation.
Be very careful about promises made to you when you're being wooed to join up with ACI. The salespeople will say anything to get you on board.
