This is specifically for American Swiss Parow, Sanlam Centre. I was bought a gift for my birthday, a watch and a bracelet in January of this year. I'm not a watch person, but i wore it once and on the second day, the watch stopped working. I thought maybe it was the battery or something. But after some time, it was taken in to American Swiss and the policy is that it needs to be send away for repairs as it was not the battery. It was taken in on the 26th of May and it was told that it would take 4-6 weeks for repair. I phoned last week Tuesday the 04th of July, and i was told that i will be called back by Friday to inform me of the status of the item in question, as it was not at the shop as yet. Today, is Monday the 10th of July, the telephone service could have been better, but the lady took my name and called me back. The item was not in the shop as yet, and she told me that it takes 6-8 to repair. Honestly speaking, if you buy an item, it is suppose to work and not be faulty in 24 hours. Was this a new item or an old item. Why the inconsistency in the repair time. I am not happy with this, as the person spend a lot of money on this item, just to be in a repair shop. I would like to know what the policy is on how to get the money back.
