Having been put onto an Air Botswana flight twice (my other flights were cancelled), I arrived in Botswana and my luggage did not arrive. Air Botswana's ground crew were not very helpful, their attitude was simply "if it arrives you will have to come and fetch it". They indicated they would call me but never did, I collected my bag the following morning from the airport.
On my return flight I was again put onto an Air Botswana flight. I specifically asked at the check-in counter for confirmation that my luggage would make it and I was told yes it would. No luggage arrived in Johannesburg. A ground crew agent tried to contact someone from Air Botswana but to no avail. I have filled in a lost baggage form and have been trying endlessly to try locate my bag, just cannot get hold of anyone with answers.
My advice to anyone considering flying Air Botswana - rather drive!
