I am writing to formally escalate a serious complaint regarding our booking at your hotel on [28th till the 29th December 2025], which resulted in distress, unsafe conditions, and physical harm. Upon checking in, we found that the rooms were in an unacceptable condition and did not resemble the images advertised on the Agoda website. The room was not suitable for accommodation. More concerning was the behavior of your staff. Both the receptionist and the security guard were extremely rude and unprofessional, and an argument ensued when we raised our concerns. The receptionist refused to provide the hotel’s contact number when requested, despite the fact that an Agoda human agent was actively trying to reach the hotel and could not get through. During this interaction, the receptionist physically twisted my wife's hand with force. This incident should be clearly visible on your CCTV footage, and I formally request that hotel management review the footage of this interaction as a matter of urgency. Upon departing the hotel, an even more distressing incident occurred. My 80-year-old grandmother fell on the premises. Instead of offering assistance, the security guard laughed and clapped his hands, while the receptionist and other staff members ignored her completely. As a result of this fall, my grandmother has sustained a fractured ankle and is currently wearing a medical boot. At the time, there was no hotel manager or supervisor available on site. We were advised that management would only be available on Monday at 8:00 a.m. As we do not reside in the city, this was not a viable option for us. Because of the circumstances, we were left without accommodation for the night, despite having travelled with an elderly person and a 12-month-old baby. This caused significant distress, inconvenience, and additional expense. Given the unacceptable condition of the room, the unprofessional and abusive conduct of staff, the physical interaction, and the injury sustained by my grandmother, I am formally requesting: An urgent investigation into staff conduct A review of CCTV footage relating to the incidents described Written feedback from hotel management regarding the outcome of this matter Please treat this complaint with the seriousness it warrants. As I am seriously considering on suing the establishment.

Albany, owned by Tiger Brands, has just discontinued the only kilojoule-controlled brown bread on the market - and it has done so without even informing the stores that stock Albany breads. Albany Ultima was a fantastic product for anyone who is being careful about their diet, and it tasted very nice as well. Suddenly, it became impossible to find. I tried all the big chains, and nobody knew what was going on. I spoke to store managers, who did not know what was going on. They thought it might have been related to the current big push with Albany specials on its standard white and brown breads, but had no idea if and when Ultimate might return. I have just spoken to the Tiger customer line, and been informed that it has been discontinued! I am appalled that a major South African company does not know when it has a superb product on its hands. It could have - should have - marketed Ultima properly. Even without that, it was an incredibly popular product. So what is the excuse for discontinuation? And how can a Tiger company discontinue a major product without informing stores? This is yet another example of shocking South African so-called business practice, and of lack of understanding (or caring about) customers.

Opened a loaf of albany bread on the morning of September 01st 2025, the first slice embedded with a semi hard substance that had signs of mold on it.. As a mom of three making lunches weekly and for my husband, this was extremely disgusting and disappointing, I could have fed this to my family which is not fair. As a large company albany does not take this matter seriously, they take forever to respond and the only feedback I got is asking me for my address and where I purchased the bread when I've submitted clear proof this hard like mouldy substance is baked with the bread and embedded in. I've also reported to the department of health and safety and got no response which makes me believe matters like these get swept under a rug or silenced. I do not want a voucher or compensation but I want this specimen tested and I want to know what was in the bread my family's health could have been compromised with? I want answers.

I buy about 4 to 5 loaves of bread every week and mostly Albany. I bought bread at a filling station on the 28th July with BB date 02 August, the next day 29th and after consuming a few slices my son found the next slices to have a black mold, this was 4 days before the BB date. Never buying the Albany bread and I was wondering why one of the filling station in our area don't sell their bread, now I know why. How can a bread as fresh and soft as the one I bought have black mold, NEVER AGAIN
