I made a booking through Agoda booking online for 08/03/2023 to 13/03/2023. I called the hotel today to confirm if everything is in order with regards to my booking. The receptionist then told me after confirming my booking that they had a fire at the hotel the weekend and are in the process of contacting the clients. There are somethings not working in the Hotel, lift, TV's, WiFi, Aircons and it must be still smelling of SMOKE. (I have to climb six flights of stairs in the morning going to breakfast then up back to my room with a child of 4yrs and then back down when I need to go out and back again to my room when I return). I asked to cancel the booking because It has been paid already (came off my bank account the same day). Albany Hotel needs to find alternative accommodation for their guest in the interim to accommodate US. They don't do that. How do you go on Holiday to a Hotel like that. They must either Refund me or book me into another Hotel.
