I am writing to formally escalate a serious complaint regarding our booking at your hotel on [28th till the 29th December 2025], which resulted in distress, unsafe conditions, and physical harm. Upon checking in, we found that the rooms were in an unacceptable condition and did not resemble the images advertised on the Agoda website. The room was not suitable for accommodation. More concerning was the behavior of your staff. Both the receptionist and the security guard were extremely rude and unprofessional, and an argument ensued when we raised our concerns. The receptionist refused to provide the hotel’s contact number when requested, despite the fact that an Agoda human agent was actively trying to reach the hotel and could not get through. During this interaction, the receptionist physically twisted my wife's hand with force. This incident should be clearly visible on your CCTV footage, and I formally request that hotel management review the footage of this interaction as a matter of urgency. Upon departing the hotel, an even more distressing incident occurred. My 80-year-old grandmother fell on the premises. Instead of offering assistance, the security guard laughed and clapped his hands, while the receptionist and other staff members ignored her completely. As a result of this fall, my grandmother has sustained a fractured ankle and is currently wearing a medical boot. At the time, there was no hotel manager or supervisor available on site. We were advised that management would only be available on Monday at 8:00 a.m. As we do not reside in the city, this was not a viable option for us. Because of the circumstances, we were left without accommodation for the night, despite having travelled with an elderly person and a 12-month-old baby. This caused significant distress, inconvenience, and additional expense. Given the unacceptable condition of the room, the unprofessional and abusive conduct of staff, the physical interaction, and the injury sustained by my grandmother, I am formally requesting: An urgent investigation into staff conduct A review of CCTV footage relating to the incidents described Written feedback from hotel management regarding the outcome of this matter Please treat this complaint with the seriousness it warrants. As I am seriously considering on suing the establishment.

I very disappointed with albany hotel, wifi was not working, no towels in my room, tea hotel was dirty, broken wardrobe, dirty couch in our room, what's even worse from yesterday morning my body or itchy and even some rash has started appearing I think the bed had bed bugs, air cmconditioning. Was not working most of the time .. I am never booking with them I am very disappointed I won't recommend anyone to them. The staff front desk was amazing..

booked in to unruley receiption hotel floors untidy room poor mentained .on booking out my vechicle was ****** and all went mad the manager could not give us a explaintion why the security at the door could secure the vechicle or people in the hotel the receiptnist Mekayla assisted us all the way we then recovered the vechicle and had some major repairs so we then request another night after all the bad service from the hotle would has expected a completary room no we were charged and the next room we could not use the tiolet the pipe was leaking badly we the reported to management we were told there is noting they can do we can leave in the middle of the night in the rain this is the disgusting service i have experienced

I made a booking through Agoda booking online for 08/03/2023 to 13/03/2023. I called the hotel today to confirm if everything is in order with regards to my booking. The receptionist then told me after confirming my booking that they had a fire at the hotel the weekend and are in the process of contacting the clients. There are somethings not working in the Hotel, lift, TV's, WiFi, Aircons and it must be still smelling of SMOKE. (I have to climb six flights of stairs in the morning going to breakfast then up back to my room with a child of 4yrs and then back down when I need to go out and back again to my room when I return). I asked to cancel the booking because It has been paid already (came off my bank account the same day). Albany Hotel needs to find alternative accommodation for their guest in the interim to accommodate US. They don't do that. How do you go on Holiday to a Hotel like that. They must either Refund me or book me into another Hotel.

Good morning..I'm having a serious problem with getting my refund from the hotel..which I paid on April and it was an immediate payment...so I have cancelled my stay with them due to certain...now since October Shahee at the hotel has asked me to send my id copy my proof of payment ,I have given him all that and still nothing...I now know all his employees i'v spoken to Mandisa,Mekyla, and henna they been taking my contacts saying that Shahee will get back to me.. still nothing...and Mandisa had said it's done I must wait for seven days..that was like 3weeks ago..I'm really not happy with the Albany hotel in Durban...they all liers...they take my contacts all the time and still nothing..I have proof of all this..they are very incompetent...

Good morning..I'm having a serious problem with getting my refund from the hotel..which I paid on April and it was an immediate payment...so I have cancelled my stay with them due to certain...now since October Shahee at the hotel has asked me to send my id copy my proof of payment ,I have given him all that and still nothing...I now know all his employees i'v spoken to Mandisa,Mekyla, and henna they been taking my contacts saying that Shahee will get back to me.. still nothing...and Mandisa had said it's done I must wait for seven days..that was like 3weeks ago..I'm really not happy with the Albany hotel in Durban...they all liers...they take my contacts all the time and still nothing..I have proof of all this..they are very incompetent...
