I ordered shoes online from Aldo Shoes on the 14th of November 2025. After some days if no delivery, a representative sent me an email telling me that the Shoes I had ordered (size 6) were out of stock and I needed to choose one of three options. I opted for a refunded. It took a long time for any action to happen despite emailing and calling the shop. Eventually, Fiona Mamabolo sent me a message on 13 December 2025 saying their finance department was processing my refund.
I received proof of payment (POP) for the amount I had paid on 17 December 2025. However, that amount has not yet reflected in my account to date (17 January 2026) a month later.
I sent various emails to Fiona which she simply ignored. When I eventually managed to get hold of her on 14 January 2026 her telephonically, she gave the same excuse about it being a Finance Department matter and she would follow up with them. I continue waiting for the refund as I write this painful review.
I am so disappointed with the sluggish manner in which Aldo Shoes handles such matters. They seem not to care at all. What is most painful is that, I have 98% of my shoes from Aldo and I did not expect such poor business practice for a shop I respect so much.
I cannot understand why Aldo s unable to process refunds like any other well established online businesses that simply reverse the payment under similar circumstances. Why are you so quick to collect our monies even when you have no stock but make it difficult to get our refunds arising from your system errors?
I am so disappointed with Aldo Shoes and would like everyone to be very cautious when dealing with them. Especially, if it is an online transaction. You will sweat for your refund should anything go wrong. I will assure you, Fiona Mamabolo will treat you as if you are asking Aldo for a donation when it is actually your money that is supposed to be refunded to you.
I believe there are many who have also had to suffer from such gross customer ill treatment. We deserve better treatment, Aldo. Just a little respect will be highly appreciated please.
