Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to address a serious concern regarding an account that was settled in full approximately three years ago. Despite the payment, my account is still reflecting as unpaid and has today been handed over to a collection agency.
According to legal prescription periods, any outstanding balance on an account should be prescribed after three years. As the account was paid in full, this current situation is particularly alarming.
Recently, I have been contacted by collection agencies asserting that the account with Aloan is in arrears and demanding further payment. When questioned, these agencies have been unable to provide satisfactory answers or clarification regarding the alleged outstanding balance. This suggests an attempt to unfairly collect funds.
Please be advised that I will not be making any further payments on this account. I have already lodged formal complaints against Aloan and their collection agencies with the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and the Ombudsman.
I request that you investigate this matter thoroughly and update my account status to reflect that all payments have been received and the account is closed.
