Let me take this opportunity to apologies to Melvin of America Fanatics for the misunderstanding we had with regards to my car. I would like to send a big thank you to him and his team for their great job done. Melvin is always willing to go the extra mile in assisting his clients. You assisted me greatly, even when I didn't have money to pay you. I cannot thank you enough, Melvin. One can be rest assured that they will always be in good hands at American Fantastics.

I MADE THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE, by giving my car to Melvyn of American Fanatics in December 2020, with an engine that was not running. I eventually got my car back on the 5th February 2021. I paid them a total of R84k to have the car fixed. I immediately noticed that the engine light was on and immediately brought it to Melvyn's attention, to which he said it would disappear as I drove the car. I trusted him and drove home. Needless to say, the engine light remained on. The following day I noticed that the car was also leaking some oil. I took it back to him on 10th February 2021, to have the engine light and oil leak fixed. I collected the car again on 13th February, with everything apparently fixed. To my dismay, the engine light came back on before I could even reach home, which led me to believe that he simply deleted the error messages from the car's ECU. The following day, I noticed more oil leaks than before. I returned the car to him once more on the 15th February 2021. My car stayed at Melvyn's workshop for 4 years and 5 months, with him making every excuse under the sun and refusing to give back my car. Thanks to X-Repo, Mojalove Dstv show who eventually came to my rescue to get my car back. My car is now in a worse condition than before. The engine light is still on with the car in LIMP mode, the oil leak is excessively high, the steering wheel controls are not working, the front passenger window is not working, the window washer fluid reservoir is broken, the MISSING stop/start button. I will never recommend American Fantastics to anyone ever.

I can honestly say, based on the energy, efficiency and respect i got from Melvyn and his team, my Jeep Compass has literally never seen the kind of service like I had with them. I drove into their workshop with a huge problem to sort out, my gearbox was toast. When bringing it into their service department from the moment i walked in, I was amazed at the service I received. Melvyn and John assesed my cars gearbox parts- or what was left of them and after not having my car in working order at all for 4 months, with every excuse from the previous workshop I took it to mistakenly, they had my car running in absolutely no time. Everyone was incredibly helpful and efficient. From the start of my interaction to the final delivery and test drive- even Jeep Boksburg could not have compared to the great service and well executed, step by step in contact service or updates telling me when and how things were going in fixing my baby. I would recommend them to anyone who drives a Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler... in fact any car for that matter, they are THAT good. Thank you guys so much for the great efforts and service given.

After having a terrible experience with a mechanic who ripped me off for R20k and stole my new battery, Melvyn contacted me and offered to assist, Car picked up 10 January 2024 and drove onto their flatbed. My Grand Jeep Cherokee was finally going to be sorted. By September and after numerous visits to check on the progress, I was told that all the wiring, and the engine had been sorted. In November Melvyn said he was waiting for one electronic component from the USA. I was told it was in the workshop two weeks ago and should not take long to be ready. I am so disappointed with not having my vehicle for so long. No communication on the progress and I am calling almost every day to get an update. The new manager Greg is unable to get answers from Melvyn as to why my vehicle is not completed yet. Their business is booming, and my vehicle is sitting in their graveyard. I need my vehicle repaired and returned to me asap. Ridiculous situation. Wendy Knowler has been contacted to assist. Let's hope that this review helps my situation.
