Turns your dream into a nightmare
Do not use this builder in St Helena Bay, he takes your dream and turns it into a nightmare. A house that he estimated would take 4 months, took much longer. He let me believe that my home would be ready by December, I had my move from Jhb planned, only to find out 2 weeks before that it wasn't going to be ready. I had to find a rental during the holiday season. From installing tiles and showers incorrectly, to loose roof sheets, and concrete flooring bubbling up.

Do not use this builder in St Helena Bay, he takes your dream and turns it into a nightmare. A house that he estimated would take 4 months, took much longer. He let me believe that my home would be ready by December, I had my move from Jhb planned, only to find out 2 weeks before that it wasn't going to be ready. I had to find a rental during the holiday season. From installing tiles and showers incorrectly, to loose roof sheets, and concrete flooring bubbling up.

Alex designs is BAD NEWS
This is one contractor that can not be trusted, nor his supervisory people. In April 2017, Anton Enever, started on our housing project in St Helena Bay. There were no initial problems, and we were continuously being promised that he would keep to the completion date of 15th December 2017. Even in mid November, when we were on site, he promised that the 15th December 2017 was in order. Upon our arrival from Gauteng on 15th December 2017, the house was not nearly finished. The items pointed out in November, had not been repaired, the ceilings were not installed, house was not painted, and the list simply goes on and on. We could not even use the toilets, as the septic tank had only been completed the previous day!!! This after his promises over the phone that all was in order, and that we could simply move in in December 2017. We were forced to move into the half-completed house. Over the next weeks work continued, and I could understand why things were as they were. Anton Enever was not on site once, and instead, his so-called supervisor, "Hampies", would offload workers in the morning, and he would also disappear, therefore having us to tell the workers what to do. Again Enever promised me that the work be completed by 19th January 2018, the day that I would return from Gauteng to sign off on the house. My wife stayed behind during this time in the house to supervise the work, which was actually the responsibility of Enever and his so-called supervisor. What followed, was that end February 2018, I terminated the contract, as the work had still not been completed. At this time, it also aspired that Enever did not register the project with the NHBRC, as required by law. At the start of the project he made us believe, that as he was registered with the NHBRC, and were building without a home loan, it was not required to register the specific project. With regards to quality, and keeping to promises, this serves to warn people to stay away from doing business at all with this company or contractor.

Do not use Anton Enever of Alex Designs St Helena Baai West Coast Takes your money and cant get plans approved for months and months!
Useless- Dreadful - Liar - Worst Service ever! Stole our dreams! We approached Anton Enever of Alex Designs in June 2017 before purchasing property in Lampies Baai, St Helena Baai to make sure we can build a single storey home but only to find out after we paid for the land and paid Mr Enever to carry out the drawings the land was zoned for Double storey houses. We moved our entire life to St Helena to build. He took our money on the 26th August promised us faithfully in a meeting and on emails that the plans, firstly would take 2 weeks to draw and 4 weeks at municpality. We paid him in full on the 26th August 2017. From the second week of September Mr Enever did not take our calls and by 24th September we went to Saldahna Municipality to find out he had not handed in our plans! Only when we called from the Municipality did he quickly answer our calls. We were told by Municipality that Mr Enever had a lot of unhappy clients and was not following rules. We had to go to Lampies Baai EXO to get him to answer our calls and emails and attend to our plans. He even told us in an email he is not a YOYO to run up and down to the Municipality and we are stabbing him the back for getting assistance from Lampies Baai Home owners! Our plans had to go through a process of being approved by Town Planning. This process took 5 months and 1 week from the day we paid him. Our home should have been built in this time! There is an 6 to 8 % increase in all building material! The loss to us has been huge. Mr Enever did not in all this time try and follow up or apologie! Had it not been for assistance from the staff of Town Planning Saldhna Municipality we would still be waiting! This call be confirmed with the Lampies Baai commitee belongs to! Do not use Anton Enever for Alex Designs!
