Putrid service from Appliance Repair Cape Town
Re : Disgusting service received from Appliance Repair Cape Town (based in Pelikan Park , Cape Town) After having contacted Appliance Repair Cape Town through their website on Jan 23rd 2025 , I had a reply on the 24th Jan contacting me about the issue with my residential aircon unit . I had a whatsapp confirmation they would call the next day (25th Jan) . After no visit or communication until the 27th Jan , I enquired as to why there was a delay & also the cost of a re-gas for my unit . An appointment was confirmed for Jan 28th at 10am . The 2-man team arrived around 09:30 , worked on the unit for about 45 mins & left after telling me they would need for the compressor unit to cool down before working on it . They said they would be back in about an hr’s time . I contacted them via whatsapp at 17:06 as they had not yet returned . The next day (Jan 29th) I had still had no feedback as to what was going on by 18:44 . Thereafter there was no reply on the whatsapp platform and no answer to my calls . The next communication I had was on the 31st Jan by a different person (technician Luke) enquiring as to the problem . An appointment was set for 1st Feb & the technician arrived to replace the capacitor on the circuit which was supposedly the problem . It was discovered this was not the problem but the compressor needed to be replaced . The technician left (with my capacitor from the aircon unit) & said they would send a quote before the end of day . By 3rd Feb , still no communication or quote . It is now the 13th Feb & nothing further has developed after a number of phone calls & whatsapp messages . I will never use them again & would advise the public to avoid their services as they are totally unreliable

Appliance Repair Cape Town - Ripped me off
i made use of appliance repair cape town a few weeks ago on a saturday to fix my gas hob, where no gas was coming out of all 4 burners. i was quoted approx R 250 for the callout and R450 per hour for the work The service was good at first they responded and came out promptly, 3 people arrived a hour or two later - and they got straight to work, however when the completed the job, they asked me to confirm the issue was resolved, They packed up and then one person remained to do the payment with me He then says to me " you do know the part he used is just over R900 each". the part is a small ***** called a "nipple" that allows the gas to come out. he said that he had to replace all 4 and that i now owe him R5500. i questioned him an the price and he made me believe there was no alternative to replacing these *****s and that the price is what they cost, and that he was doing me a favour for replacing the regulator as well free of charge. i also dont believe the *****s were new - he took them out of a bottle with used spare *****s, nuts, bolts etc. i felt i had no option but to accept.but after they left my husband advised me that an entire new hob was selling at R5000. i called the person i arranged the callout with and said that i would prefer that the parts be removed and replaced with my old parts as we now realized we were **********. he said he was unable to get hold of them and he would revert on monday. On monday, he said that there was nothing he could do as i accepted the price., and said the technician quoted me before the work was done. Which he did not do. I asked him to either bill me correctly and refund the difference, or revert the repair and refund me completely. After a long debate - he agreed to speak to the owner of the business and revert. I am yet to hear from them again and they are not responding to me messages or emails. Please be careful of these people - they are not upfront with their pricing and i believe they took me for a ride

Absolute scam artists
As with all the other reviews on this company, we have unfortunately been scammed by them as well. They came to repair our dishwasher, supposedly replacing the pump and motherboard in the process. After charging us R2000, the dishwasher still doesn't drain and even has a broken handle. Every time I phone them, they lie about when they'll return to fix it. Their approach seems to be to just wear you down....I'm now trying to reverse the charges through my bank

FRAUD COMPANY - BE AWARE OF A SCAM
This is a FRAUD company - they come, take perfectly working spares out of your appliance and build in a damaged, old part (with me it was the waterpump).... Then they tell you another part is damaged and they are waiting for that spare....that's why your appliance does still not work. But they want the (old) part they replaced to be paid by you before going ahead. They do never come back and your appliance is now even more damaged and your money is gone!!!!

Then they tell you another part is damaged and they are waiting for that spare....that's why your appliance does still not work. But they want the (old) part they replaced to be paid by you before going ahead. They do never come back and your appliance is now even more damaged and your money is gone!!!!

Incredibly Unprofessional
One of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Missed three appointments in a row with no explanation and no phonecalls. Promised callbacks never materialised. Incredibly unprofessional. Do not be fooled by their website.

Beware of scam
These people are crooks. They came to my place, took my coffee machine, for 10 days they were telling me they ordered spare parts, and then they stopped answering the phone. https://www.appliancerepaircapetown.com/ Phone numbers that they use 0875510640, 27619478330
