23 Feb 2022, 05:40Mr Schroeder's geyser, that was installed by another service provider, burst within the manufacturers warranty and as the service agent for the manufacturer we were appointed to assess the geyser, report back to the manufacturer and then dependent on their company policy, carry out their instructions. As the original installation was not 100% compliant, the manufacturer is under no obligation to replace the clients geyser, but in this case they decided to assist the client. Mr Schroeder first insisted that his own service provider replace his geyser with a replacement geyser supplied by the manufacturers, but at the last minute requested that we, as service agent for the manufacturer, do it. This service was performed at the cost of the manufacturer and NOT at the cost of the client. However, the manufacturer instructs us to only replace the burst geyser. Their warranty clearly states that only the geyser will be replaced and no betterment or repairs are to be carried out, unless the client instructs us to do so and then that will be at the cost to the client. We have various pictures with time stamps and GPS coordinates and vehicle tracking reports that will clearly prove this. We are sorry that the client feels unhappy with this situation, as we come across these situations quite often, where previous service providers have not adhered to the installation regulations and their unhappiness is unfortunately re-directed at us. It is unfortunate that Mr Schroeder has resorted to voicing his unhappiness on this platform, as we did explain the warranty policies and procedures to him. Yours sincerely
Best regards,
