I contacted ARB Electrical Wholesalers in Pretoria for pricing on flood lights. The representative I spoke with said he would send me the prices via WhatsApp. He sent several photos, and I asked questions based on my client's requests. After a few back-and-forth messages, I asked for a price based on the attached reply he had sent me. Instead of addressing my request, he shifted the conversation to a remote. I clarified that I only wanted the price for the flood lights in the photo he had sent. Eventually, he provided me with a price. However, when it was time to purchase the flood lights, the price ended up being double what he initially quoted. It became clear that he had given me the wrong price for an incorrect product. Now, they are refusing to accommodate us. He even sent me a spec sheet, which I forwarded to my client along with the pricing. Now he admits that he provided me with the incorrect price, yet ARB has not offered any assistance in resolving this issue or honoring the initial price. The representative's name is Goldie, as stated in his WhatsApp message. Not once has ARB called me to apologize or rectify the situation.

ARB advertised an Ingco P20S Spray gun on special at just 3 branches (East Rand, West Rand and Silverlakes). went to East Rand Branch this morning to get one, to be told they do not have stock, and since the manager is not instore for the day they cannot allow me to upfront pay for the stock as an account first needs to be opened. They can get stock in again on Monday, but not at the special price. I would think that you try and assist a customer as best as possible, but seems as if business is probably too good to worry about customers.

ARB advertised an Ingco P20S Spray gun on special at just 3 branches (East Rand, West Rand and Silverlakes). went to East Rand Branch this morning to get one, to be told they do not have stock, and since the manager is not instore for the day they cannot allow me to upfront pay for the stock as an account first needs to be opened. They can get stock in again on Monday, but not at the special price. I would think that you try and assist a customer as best as possible, but seems as if business is probably too good to worry about customers.

I tried ARB Electrical Wholesalers & this has to be - by far - one of the ABSOLUTE WORST online order experiences I have EVER had. Context: On the 2nd February I placed an order (#83626) online & paid for 1 - 2 day delivery. On day 2 I realised that I hadn't received ANY INDICATION of when my delivery would happen, only to find an email from them indicating that the status of my order has changed & that it would now take 2 - 5 DAYS for delivery. Note that I had ALREADY PAID FOR EARLIER DELIVERY!! There was ZERO in the way of letting me know what would happen to the higher delivery payment, since I was basically going to be receiving my order as a standard delivery. I emailed & was called back by one Tebogo who advised that the order had been delayed at the couriers, but that I would receive it ON THE 5TH FEBRUARY - which is today. And yet still zero communication regarding delivery. I stead, the order reads as under "manual processing" when I check their website. To say I'm angry is an understatement. What an absolute waste of my time and money this has been & I will certainly not be patronising this business or recommending it to anyone who cares about good service (and not being *****ulently made to pay for delivery turnaround times that are just never adhered to). Oh: I've called and emailed AGAIN & still nothing.

We had the worst service after we purchase a 200m cable from them. When we went to site to install the cable it was short of 17m cable. When we contacted them about this and sent them videos where we measure the cable, they said we stole the 17meters and they will have to investigate. They take no accountability, no will to find a resolution with a customer. We have not heard anything from them since we have let them know about this matter, forcing us to buy the cable from another supplier again! We will not recommend using ARB to anyone seeing that this is our second time we had issues with them.

This organization is inadequately managed resulting in extremely poor customer service — to the extent that workers are constantly complaining about low wages in front of customers, while management hides in their office.

Prices are absolutely crazy. Working as a contractor for 16 years. Sent one of my electricians working in Pretoria area to pick up a few panels lights. Just 8 panel 18 watt panel lights. Prices was insane. So much so that it was cheaper to drive to my usual supplier in the middle of Joburg and drive all the way back. Same items bought (same brand) were pretty much half the price. I understand memebers of teh publiuc pay a bit more but its pretty obvious we were contractors - written right accross the front of the T-shirt. If it was a bit more, fine. But double? Anyway we have a month long project near there - I won't even bother asking prices.

I was working there from last year June till early January because I had to resign due to personal issues. My December salary which I was supposed to get on the last day of January, I didn't receive it and I don't understand why. I tried communicating with them but they tell me different stories. I don't know if this employer procedure goes like this
