I contacted ARB Electrical Wholesalers in Pretoria for pricing on flood lights. The representative I spoke with said he would send me the prices via WhatsApp. He sent several photos, and I asked questions based on my client's requests. After a few back-and-forth messages, I asked for a price based on the attached reply he had sent me. Instead of addressing my request, he shifted the conversation to a remote. I clarified that I only wanted the price for the flood lights in the photo he had sent. Eventually, he provided me with a price. However, when it was time to purchase the flood lights, the price ended up being double what he initially quoted. It became clear that he had given me the wrong price for an incorrect product. Now, they are refusing to accommodate us. He even sent me a spec sheet, which I forwarded to my client along with the pricing. Now he admits that he provided me with the incorrect price, yet ARB has not offered any assistance in resolving this issue or honoring the initial price. The representative's name is Goldie, as stated in his WhatsApp message. Not once has ARB called me to apologize or rectify the situation.
I have been struggling with Standard bank. I have been a loyal customers for years now. But I am now starting to feel like Standard bank is not worth my time. I have my business, personal, credit card and home loan at Standard bank. I tried to apply for an overdraft for my business account after a year. My banker Tebogo informed me that we will be able to apply. My Auditors did all the paperwork and it was send through to Tebogo. Then the email came through that she is on maternity leave. Then Gorret was assigned, but he is on sick leave. So almost a month later and follow up emails and phone call, where I spoke to Mpho on Saturday the 23 of Sept 2023, still NO FEEDBACK. Today Wednesday the 27th of Sept. I am currently sitting in Standard bank The Grove, holding on for 14 min on the phone at the help desk as per order from the branch manager, as I am typing my review. And while holding on playing the holding on song on speaker. No one has even tried to assist me. Please can I maybe get some service here
