Door Manager Mark - Rude and disrespectful to customers
We had a very disappointing experience at Ashley's Restaurant. The manager, Mark, was extremely rude and impolite. The way he spoke to us was disrespectful, to the point that we decided to leave the restaurant and will not return. When I asked for his name, he sarcastically rep**** that it was “Mark with a K” and that I must get it right, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. We were also not willing to seat us properly. When we explained that the rest of our group would arrive shortly, he insisted on giving us a small table rather than accommodating the group. It was also noticeable that the staff seemed nervous around him, as he was constantly watching and controlling what they were doing. In addition, there was an unpleasant drain smell outside that was drifting into the restaurant. Considering the many good reviews, this experience was a real disappointment. Unfortunately, based on how we were treated, I would not recommend this place.

Excellent
Our team hosted a client dinner at the restaurant last month and the experience was excellent. The staff managed our reservation smoothly, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food quality was consistently strong across the table. It created the kind of atmosphere that makes business conversations easy.

Excellent

Ribs tasted off on the pizza
I ordered a pizza sit down a Rene special last night that was referred by ur waitress.. The tomatoes was replaced with ribs.. The pizza had a funny taste... Ribs tasted off and there was a after taste.. I complained by the waitor Sheree or something she said she will inform the manager but instead just brought my bill to pay after a while no explanation I was so disgusted with her behaviour expecting me to pay for it and still to tip her... It was my last believe me

Ribs tasted off on the pizza

Bad and the badder
I'm not one to complain.. Use to love Ashley's since before Covid. When we finally could order for delivery it has always been an issue....seems to me when you're sitting down everything is good but when ordering telephonically its always a problem... Been complaining via messenger on FB...no joy. I know people have been raving about this establishment but for me that's been a patron since 2014 its actually a let down... 1...Food being delivered without deserts ordered 2...Cocroach on my pizza 3...Ladies like Janine being so damn condescending in the phone like im a fly ... 4.....Phoning 2 landlines and literally never getting through... Please note that not everyone have contract phones and even if you do it still have to be paid ...For the last 4-5 years getting through is an absolute nightmare I am so happy for the good reviews when people actually go in and sit down(I've done that too many times) sit down and and ordering online are totally different experiences!

CHANGE YOUR MANAGER AND SUNDAY CARVERY IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!
My family and I went to have the SUNDAY CARVEY - worst Experience EVER!! We complained to the manager , he then said he feeds over 600 people and we were the 1st ones to complain , then he goes and says he can’t refund “me” because his not sure what I am trying to achieve !!! So arrogant and rude to stereotype me to think I just wanted my money back The coffee I ordered was horrible I am a coffee ***** and I know a good one from bad and he said it’s basically trial and error because of the new machine? And then he added to say this is not a taste taste so we can’t eat of the food and give it back but I literally had a small bite of each thing on my plate how else would I know if it’s good or bad If I don’t taste it ? Ridiculous!!! For a “family” restaurant you would think they would be more understanding

Ashleys Family Restaurant service is phenomenal!
Last night we decided to visit Ashley's Family Restaurant Best Family Restaurant in the Cape 2022/23/24 for pizzas for the twin boys and for supper. From the time we walked in we were greeted and welcomed by Juanita who asked us to wait for a table in their waiting area. She never took her eyes off us making sure we were fine, until a table for the 5 of us became available. Our waitress Josephine was exceptional and most attentive. Later I decided to order a bottle of wine from Josephine, and Ashley himself presented us with the wine, wine glasses and an ice bucket. The service was amazing throughout the evening from Ashley, Juanita and waitress Josephine! This is this reason I will be back again and again! Very well done! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great service
I was very satisfied with the value of the pizza 🍕 it is delicious, great value for price 😋. And the service is on point...I place an order and told uo collect after 20 minutes and for sure I got it in 20 minutes
