1st of June 2019 my car had a drivetrain problem which few days after I toke it to Auto-glen motors bmw dealership next to The Glen mall. Now there they quoted me R50000 which I can send quotation via email. But I told to them to actually fix everything else beside vanos units which cost roughly R200000. Now my new quotation was R27500 which I paid upon collecting the car but then it still showed the same problem. I called BMW SA to tell them about everything but they couldn't help. On 2nd of September 2019 I went to take my car, it was around 4:40 pm with the drivetrain problem hoping to take it to Zambezi bmw since it was driving fine before I toke it to Auto-Glen motors accept that it has reduced performance of the car. When I toke the car it sounded different, the was rackling sound at the engine. At 6:00 pm just switch off at middle of the freeway which I was vulnerable to accident, since then it never switch on. The following day I called Auto-glen motors and left my details at the reception, that was 9:05am but they never came back to me, at 11:00 I called twice but they just cancelled my calls. Then called BMW SA again but couldn't help instead Auto Glen Motors told BMW SA to tell me that they have nothing to do with the car. So I towed my car to another dealer were I explained everything. To his surprise, most of the things that were changed were not necessarily and had nothing to do with the initial problem it still had the very same problem.I need help.

I took my car for repairs at BMW Auto Glen Motors. I wanted them to replace a broken vent pipe. The service advisor - Francois van Rensburg then called advising that a long list of other things needed to be replaced. Given that the are the manufacturer of the car and probably know what's best I gave them the go-ahead even though I had reservations because I hadn't experienced any problems prior. I am not a mechanic so I couldn't argue with him or dispute what he was advising. I took his advise on good faith, after my safety and that of my family was ''at stake'' if I can call it that. On numerous occasions before giving him the go-ahead we asked if the car wouldn't be in a worse state once they are done. Francois assured us that all will be well, the car would be much better than before. Long and behold, 40k later we pick up the car and almost a km from the dealership we get a drive-train error message, the gear was shaking etc. We decide to them book the car into Sandton Auto for service and to get a second opinion about the drive train message the day after picking the car up from Auto Glen Motors. To our surprise, Sandton Auto tells us that as part of the service they would be replacing spark plugs etc. - something that was apparently replaced at Auto Glen Motors the day before( Francois had told us that they picked up a misfire and they needed to replace the spark plugs). So we don't say a thing and allow Sandton Auto to replace these. The next day, the car starts leaking oil - something which was never there before we booked the car into Auto Glen Motors, something which Auto Glen Motors had informed us they picked up and apparently attended to it. We went back to Auto Glen Motors, Francois couldn't even explain to us what they did to our car, he had no explanation for the spark plugs which they supposedly replaced - which we were charged for. All trust and faith we had in them is lost, how do we even know that they actually fitted all the new parts that they quoted us on? We had asked them to put all the old parts in our boot - the old spark plugs which Auto Glen Motors apparently replaced where not in the boot. We ask to see Francois's supervisor, we were told we can only see him by appointment and that he would call us back. The supervisor doesn't called us back. So we took the car back to Auto Glen Motors so they can sort out the mess they created. Its apparent that Auto Glen Motors has no regard for their customers, they clearly are doing fraudulent things and cheating customers of their hard owned money (how do you say you changed my worn out spark plugs and the very next day, another dealership replaces them again). Surely if you attend to certain things that are part of the service, you are supposed to update the on-bound car computer such that it acknowledges that with regards to the service only this and that are outstanding? The nerve to then tell us there they don't really know why the car is leaking, it could be this and that - they need to figure out what's what. They don't know when we will get our car back, so we must be inconvenienced whilst they take their time to fix that they ****ed up. The car is in a far, far worse state then when we took it in. Surely the diagnosis test that they do on the car should tell them what's wrong. Seems they follow a trail and error methodology in resolving issues at the expense of the customers money because they end up replacing things that probably shouldn't even be replaced - they have replaced our fan belt, one wonders how that's connected to the broken vent pipe which is what we originally took the car in for. No one should ever take their car there for service!!!!!!!!

I purchased a brand new 320i BMW from Auto Glen Motors (R589000). Firstly the salesman was not transparent when he sold me the vehicle. A repayment of R5k then went to R7500 (not going to go into that now) Anyway this vehicle has broken down over four times already, BMW SA and Auto Glen Motors cannot accept responsibilty for the defect of this vehicle. They cannot find the problem as to why the DRIVE TRAIN warning light comes on and shuts down the engine and they expect me to take back the vehicle everytime. I am waiting for the Motor Industry Ombudsman to open on the 15 Jan 2018 to see how this issue would be resolved. I have also liased with Merissa Chetty from BMW Customer Care to try and resolve my problem. MC said she needs to chat to the Dealer Principal @ Auto Glen Motors and get back to me. I honestly dont want this car back. This car spent more time at the dealerships than with me. I would any day buy a Toyota. BMW SA change your attitude. I am your customer and every customer counts in this day and age.

I would like to commend Francois for an excellent service, he kept me informed and did his best in getting my car repaired at a better than originally quoted price and delivered the care ahead of advised time. Well done for excellent service Francois.

I have driven a BMW for the last 20 years and WILL NEVER buy another one , all due to Sergio from BMW thinking he is the LAW and can do with me and my vehicle as he pleases.<br> i took my vehicle for a service as it was on Motor Plan, Sergio then refused to service my vehicle stating that it had been involved in an accident, i then challenged him to prove this , whilst handing him the necessary job cards for the repairs done on the instruction from Auto Glen, the repair was done by Lynhurst BMW. I then removed my car from Auto Glen and went and had the very same service done at Sandton BMW with absolutely NO PROBLEM. a little while ago i took my car for a valuation as i wanted to upgrade and was told that SERGIO HAD SUSPENDED my motor plan, no advising no contacting , so this man thinks he can play GOD with the very people who keep him employed, i have taken the matter up with BMW SA who are supposed to come and check my vehicle , i challenge them to find where my car has been in an accident as it NEVER HAS they were supposed to send a representative to check the vehicle but this has NOT happened , so it all honesty it looks like the whole BMW group thinks they dont need their clie
