AutoCity Group
Scores reflect the Overall AI Score for each category
Based on recent customer reviews, AutoCity Group delivers a consistently strong customer experience across its multi-brand dealership network. Customers frequently praise named staff members for friendly, professional, and patient service, particularly during the sales and finance process. The business excels at making first-time buyers feel comfortable. However, a recurring pattern of post-sale communication breakdowns and vehicles delivered with undisclosed defects represents a notable area for improvement.

Hi everyone, I’d like to find out whether anyone else has had a similar experience when purchasing a second-hand vehicle. We purchased a Mahindra mHawk 2.2 S4 4x4 from autocity Heidelberg Nissan and Renault in January 2026. Since delivery, we’ve experienced some issues with the vehicle, and despite inspections and ongoing engagement, the matter has not yet been resolved to our satisfaction. I’m not making any allegations, but simply sharing our experience and looking to understand how others may have dealt with similar situations. We are currently exploring our options, and any advice or shared experiences would be appreciated. Please feel free to comment or send me a private message. 0824893914 Thank you 👍

The experience I received when purchasing a new vehicle at Auto city Alberton was good, willing to help all good. Until I drove the car out of the dealership..... On the highway from the dealership my wheel rim came off, was never properly attached when they did my tyre, almost a month later, nothing. 2 days since I received the car, warning lights came on, dealership came to fetch my car returned the car 2 days after. same problem. they just did a reset and returned the car to me. waiting for more than a week for someone from after sales to phone my back.

I am deeply dissatisfied with the service received from Autocity Renault, Heidelberg, and feel compelled to share my experience. On 03/03/2026, I was informed by saleswoman Nomsa that my rent-to-own car application had been approved. I was then directed by Nigel to make an initial deposit payment, which I promptly transferred from my personal account to their business account. The following day (04/03/2026), I travelled to the Heidelberg branch to collect the vehicle, only to be told that there was an unresolved payment dispute between Autocity and their third-party partner, Flexi. Despite this, I had already paid the remaining balance of the deposit, and I was not given the vehicle. I was repeatedly promised the issue would be resolved, and I made multiple follow-ups over the days that followed. As of today, 13/03/2026, the matter remains unresolved, I have not received the vehicle, and I am still waiting for my refund. When I contacted head office, I was initially told by a representative that the car had been delivered — which was factually incorrect. She later retracted this, explaining it was a "miscommunication," and that their system automatically marks a car as delivered upon sale. This is deeply concerning from a consumer trust perspective. This experience has been stressful, financially damaging, and a serious waste of my time.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.
This business's biggest strength, according to Hellopeter's AI analysis, is Agent Quality & Customer Care. Named consultants are praised repeatedly for patience, friendliness, and going above and beyond. Words like 'amazing,' 'star,' and 'gem' appear frequently, reflecting genuinely caring human interactions.
The most common complaint, based on Hellopeter's AI analysis of recent customer reviews, is Pricing, Premiums & Transparency. Customers appreciate premium reductions upon request but complain about unexplained annual increases, hidden excess charges, and debits continuing after cancellation. Transparency at policy inception is a recurring gap.
