So I bought a vw transporter from autoteam and the service was great to put pen to paper but the vehicle since day 1 gave me problems. I have been back and forth with emails and dealing with principle dealer and sales man but it's just frustrating. In the first 2 months of personally driving this vehicle the gearbox broke and I didnt even pay my first installment yet and this vehicle didnt even make money for my business. The gearbox cost 31k to repair they want to claim from my warranty I took out 14k and I must pay balance. What vehicle gearbox break in 2 months of receiving it. I have a fleet of vehicle and never came across this before and now its been standing with them for over 2 weeks and they just dont care anymore and this sucks.

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Bought a Ford Ranger with them. First they treated me like **** because apparently I ask to much questions which was suppose to be my first red flag. Then once I received the car I found that the spare wheel has no lock but the sales rep (Ricky Stemmet) gave me the lock keys and said this key is for the spare wheel lock. So he basically told me a lie and then afterwards he tells me the car doesn't come with a lock. Then what is this useless key for?? Then it took them almost a month to send me the new license disc and had lots of excuses why the spare key is not with it. It took basically 2 months to get me the spare key where I have to constantly follow up to find out whats happening as there is no feedback and my guess is they were hoping I forget about it. So when I was looking at the vehicle this sales rep (Ricky) told me there is a spare key, when I went to fetch the vehicle he said they don't have the spare key but will get it from their head office and send it with the license disc and then their excuse was they need to make the spare key as there was none at all. So from the vehicle has a spare key to I will have to go and make a spare key which cost me time and money as I had to drive all the way from PTA to Roodepoort to make a key at a Ford under their company group. To anyone considering to buy a car from Autoteam please re-think your choice and rather walk away as you will be better off believe me. They definitely don't care about their costumers after they have leached your money. Only Scott Lang helped me at the end as he is the manager. I do appreciate his efforts but unfortunately it was too little too late. Ricky made a joyful experience of getting a new ride into a headache and problems where I wished I'd rather gone with someone else.

Autoteam East Rand is the worst to provide feedback. No after sales service!! Manager NEVER phones back, sold a Hilux to us, damaged hood, cracked windscreen etc and just doesn’t get to settlement as promised when the purchase was made. Good price, NO after service, poor!
