Very suspicious business model

We are shocked. We're in the car on the way back home from auto Vision. We told them we're coming through to look at a car, we drove over an hour to get there. Upon arrival I was suspicious as there is no showroom and no cars in sight. We got told that my friend must first pass the credit check before they would continue. They don't keep any cars and if you want to see one they take you to the dealer. Very suspicious of this place.
