My partner and I visited the Autoworld dealership in Goodwood on November 7th after being contacted following a bank pre-approval. We were told to pay a deposit upfront so the vehicle could be “kept for us.” After inspecting the car, we found dents and mechanical concerns, and we were told these would be fixed. When we requested written documents showing the costs and rates discussed, the team initially refused something other dealerships provided without any issue. When the document was finally given, the figures did not match what was communicated in the office. When we questioned this, we were met with unprofessional and impatient responses. To make matters worse, on 11th of November a close family member passed away. We informed the dealership and explained that we urgently needed the refund to cover funeral expenses. Instead of compassion, my partner received a rude and accusatory phone call claiming we had “planned this situation.” This was extremely insensitive and unacceptable. As of Friday, 28 November, we still have not received our refund, despite requesting it in the second week of November. We were told the money is “in the boss’s account,” which is completely unacceptable. The dealership then attempted to charge us for dents and a radio they initially said came with the car. We never signed anything agreeing to these charges. After questioning this, they changed the story again now saying we won’t be charged repair fees, but instead a cancellation fee. We completely reject these excuses. We are legally entitled to a full refund, and the constant delays, shifting explanations, and unprofessional behaviour are unacceptable. We are urgently requesting that our full deposit be refunded immediately. This experience has been extremely stressful during an already difficult time for our family.

I must take time to mention the great service and attention to detail i received from Autoworld Goodwood when purchasing my current vehicle. Thanks to the team and would definitively recommend you to friends and family. PS: We're often so quick to critisize but takes us ages to compliment great service. Well done to you guys!!!

I purchased a car last year from them, it had an issue with air-conditioning for a car part which does not even cost an arm and a leg they have been sending me from pillar to post, their consultants ignore their clients Azez to be specific. I am so disappointed in them they are good at selling lies to the customers.

Bought the vehicle November and it gave me oil problems within three months and my dealer told me that it won't be a problem in a long run then my Machanic gave me a detailed history of the vehicle which showed that the vehicle had engine problems and was fixed few days before o bought the vehicle and two months later the vehicle broke and said I must check the hill start resistance and I told my dealer who told me to take the vehicle to the Machanic, and when I was persistent about them fixing the vehicle he told me that his boss is on a vacation so I had to wait and after the bosses vacation he told me that their six months warranty has expired and I told him that their vehicle lost power within five months after buying the vehicle and he said he doesn't care I'm the one responsible for the vehicle mind you the vehicle had the same problem it had before I bought it. Right now I'm thinking of suing because I haven't had a vehicle for five months and I'm paying for a vehicle which is damaged. No one helped me when I needed help I don't know if it's because I'm a woman or because I'm black coz I'm sure they will never do that to one of their own. I regret buying a vehicle from them could've just went and bought a new vehicle but they convinced me that the vehicle has never had problems before nor been involved in an accident but the documents I have shows that it had problems with an engine. I never even gotten the service history of the vehicle. I regret ever being in contact with Autoworld Newcastle especially and I wouldn't refer them to any person in need of the vehicle coz they are friendly and kind when you're still looking for a car but after that they don't care and don't tell you even about the previous damages.

Bought a car here about 4 months ago, had to fill the oil twice, asked them what's wrong, they took the car back "trying to fix it" Now I'm without a car and they can't solve the problem, I'm paying a car I don't have. They use it on weekends probably for personal use, they can't even give a curtesy car. When I call them, they promise that I will get the car back "this day" then when I phone a day after they end the call while I am still talking. I go there and they hide behind the desk. Horrible service.

<div>I bought a bakkie through them. During a pre-inspection it was mentioned that there is a problem with the vehicle lights. I was told it is a bulb that replacement and will be fixed Bakkie was collected from Johannesburg on my cost (about R4500) and on my way back the lights was still faulty. I informed them and they wanted me to bring the bakkie back to them (on my cost). I took the bakkie to the local VW dealer (it was still supposed to be under warrantee) for repairs. I was informed that it was repaired previous with.second hand parts and.thw warranty is not valid. I had to repair the bakkie on my cost and Autoworld is doing nothing to refund me Do not buy from them, they are not an.honest business and will provide no back up if they sell you a dud.</div>
