I would like all to know about the unethical manner in which I have been treated from Ballito.net withholding my deposit in my opinion unlawfully. I checked out of the place 23 Pyrgos we booked for vacation through Ballito.net on the 8th April 2018. On the 3 May I followed up with Kelly on the progress of my deposit. I had been advised that deposits are refunded on the 10th of the following month as per the T&C. On the 16th May I followed again as I had not received my deposit. I received feedback that my deposit is being held back as result of waiting for a contractor to source a new bedroom dresser as there were scribble marks that could not come off. In addition a tea cup, cereal bowl and drinking glass had been broken. I have responded that I do not accept any costs as we checked out on the 8th April and this is more than a month later. This is the first instance this matter has been brought to my attention without any evidence. In addition there had been no inventory check list in the place. I have not received a response to date on the progress of my dissatisfaction nor have I received my deposit. I don’t understand why I was only advised on the 16th May more than a month later of the damages. This clearly indicates to me that the property was not checked when we left. I don’t have any comfort that there were no further bookings after the 8th April when I checked out. This is despicable behaviour from Ballito.net and I will be taking this matter further.
